On this episode of the Lund Boats Ultimate Fishing Experience, we join Lund Boats Pro Staff Rob Henry on Lake Ontario's Bay of Quinte in search of giant walleye.
There are two main factors to consider in your search for truly monster fish of any species. First and foremost is to fish bodies of water that have the capacity to produce numbers of large fish. The second is timing. Throughout the year there are peak periods where concentrations of giant walleye are actively feeding in a smaller area than any other time of the year.
A classic example is the late fall and early winter push of monster walleyes from massive Lake Ontario into the Bay of Quinte. Not only was this video just awesome to watch you guys were very informative about exactly what baits you were using and the different depths and columns you were sending them. I just googled and it would be about a 5 hour drive so when this pandemic is hopefully over i just added those waters to my bucket list. I have to boat some of those tanks. Thanks for the good video, and great team work out there u guys were smoking them

Hell yeah Rob, Great job lads. That 16lbs Wallie was intense. Super slick setup on the Lund, everything but the kitchen sink, eh. Haha. Quinte Gold alright! Really enjoyed the show boys, look forward to the next.

Those big Great Lakes walleyes make the best fish chowder. Many walleye fishermen do not understand the quantity and quality of walleyes in Lake Erie. I have filleted many over 10 pounds.

I've filleted a few over 10 as well (3). It's important to throw some true Monsters back. Biologists have concluded the 10+ female eggs produce the biggest fish.

We release many big fish especially in the spring in shallow waters. In fact, I released the largest I ever caught - more than 33” long. No idea of the weight.

doesn't it take four anglers to run 8 rods? early drone shots show 3 anglers on board?

Correct me if I'm wrong but 1 rod per person in the quinte... 2 rods are in open water ( lake ontario) ( was told that by mnr when we got stopped...) .. hate ta see anyone get nailed for too many rods in the water....

You are correct. The boys were in the Adolphus Reach area, which is east of the Lake Ontario - BOQ dividing line situated at the Glenora Ferry (continuation of Hwy. 33 that connects the mainland to Prince Edward County / Picton). East of the ferry two lines per angler and west of the ferry only one line per angler.
