My mom passed away last week from lung cancer..leave them cigarettes alone!! it’s not worth it

It has now been 15 long years since I lost my father to cancer, when I was just 18 years old, & just 6 months prior to me taking the most important examinations of my life. I went through a lot of intense struggles as a kid. Stuff that no kid should have to face. But the idea of losing my father as early as the age of 18…I’d have laughed at the idea. Alas, fate decreed that it should happen. After complaining of breathing, he was given a full check up in America (checks that the UK’s NHS neglected to do). Boom: stage IV lung cancer. My loudmouth mother hopelessly tried to persuade me that there was much that could be done, but I was no fool. I knew a death sentence when I heard one. Like any healthy man would, I allowed the first couple of weeks to devastate me emotionally, then I decided “Ok. God’s given me this ultimatum; time to get my ass into action and put all affairs in order.” For the first time, rather than father and child, we would sit out on the porch, drink beers, and speak to each other about life as fully grown men. I then prepared for him the best gift I could have ever given him. Within the space of a few months, although I’m shy and passive in nature, I took command and got together a band in my high school, and we held a special concert in his honour. We played all his favourite songs, ending on his all-time favourite “Summer Of 69”, which I personally sang and played guitar on (having undertaken a crash course in both in the months prior). At this point, he was confined to a wheelchair, and could barely speak. But as the gig finished, and he was being wheeled out, he had the biggest smile on his face, unlike anything I had seen before. Maybe my timing was extremely lucky, or maybe my performance was his final dream came true, because no less than 3 days later, his body finally gave in, and died. It was a very long and drawn out one. I literally sat there and watched my father slowly die before my own eyes. My mother and sister were beside themselves and had to leave the room, so it was just me and him alone together in his final moments. I could see he was in distress, so perhaps for the first time in my life, I decided it was time to be a man, and I held him in my arms and gently cradled him (and secretly beckoned to the nurse to ensure his morphine supply was ample, so he’d be high as a kite). I knew he was still alive at this point, and they say your hearing is the last thing to go. So, cradling him in my arms (an ironic reversal of my childhood years) I whispered in his ears that he’s on a beautiful Caribbean beach, and he’s watching the most amazing sunset. His lifelong hero, Steve Marriott, is coming over to invite him for drinks. My mom can’t make it at the moment due to flight delays, but she’ll be on the next flight out to join him in the tropical paradise, so I reminded him to keep an extra towel on the sand for her when she arrives. He smiled. And then..silence.

Great job....I've seen 3 different doctors and you explained it better than all of them combined. Biopsy came back negative, 3 month follow up CT scan showed no signs of cancer, the next 3 month follow up now shows signs including shotty lymph nodes. Going in for another biopsy in a week.

This is what we should begin teaching children from age 5, so if their parents or anyone smokes, they can tell them to stop or never stop, and hopefully it will stop most/all of them to never smoke. We should change the whole entire education system because it’s antiquated, and is is very hard to change worldwide, but nothing is impossible!

I had blood in my saliva today before even brushing my teeth. But I think it may be because of hurted esophagus, because I experienced pain in small part of my esophagus yesterday. Also afternoon I checked my saliva and there wasn`t blood in it. I had the blood after eating solid breakfast.

well I want you all to read what happen to my brother so you take note of what is the new norm that they are talking about . No more visits to see your Doctor like face to face and also you are doomed if you are not juicefide i.e. got the jab so my brother calling his doctor telling him that he is having abdominal pain the doctor tells him "over the phone" Oh you got the stomach flue make soup, take Tylenols and you will be fine in 2 days still in pain called him back and the doctor said it looks like you have omicron covid and it is effecting your stomach 2 more days pass by and on the scale of 1 to 10 the pain is 14 my brother went to Oakville hospital here in Ontario Canada so they did a ct. scan and it came stage4 pancreatic cancer that spared to lungs liver and kidneys . can't operate can't have chemo he is very weak now this is what brought me here to see this video since 2020 and most of the doctors conduct their business over the phone some how he did slip through the system unnoticed that was his fate has less than 6 months to live

ive been to a vacation on a beautiful nature place and i had cigarette smoke smell coming from the window of my hotel room the whole time i rent a flat and i always have cigarette smell coming from my window the whole time after work i walk on the street and i always smell cigarette smoke on bus stations and traffic lights ... im really glad smoking have serious consequences . this is the only justice that i have 100% no problem with weather you are aware of the effects you have on people around you or not ... you Have DESREVED every bit of consequence be it Cancer or any other kind of crucial devastating physical pain or emotional pain period .
