Hi Martin. Nice to see you out on the lures. Most my fishing has been out in the waders over low water this year. For me surface lures in shallow water and metal and sinking lures in deep water. Very rarely I fish deeper than knee deep. Over the years I've learnt that the bass come in as the tide turns. They follow the tide in picking out all the shrimps and blennys etc as they get flooded out the rock pools. The new thing people doing down my way is taking a body board with them. They mark it up with a measuring tape so they have a nice platform to quickly measure a fish and also works as a safety aid if you ever need it. Don't want to state the obvious but sometimes you could be walking through rockpools 1ft deep to get to where you want to fish, if your waist deep when you head back you could still have another foot of water to compensate. Good to see you back on the lures Martin... Must admit I haven't done quite so much myself this year however I have had some success... A flounder on the seeker over very shallow mud down Calshot was a surprise, and also plenty of small bass down milford shingle bank on the estuary side...

Great move Martin, cast at 12 o'clock and 360° it, cast all around even at the shore. Just advice 👍

Unlucky mate, I just got my waders going to try wading for the first time soon down by Eastney. I found when bass fishing experimenting with retrieving has produced me alot more fish.
