Lure Making a Tail Spinner Fishing Lure

In this lure making video I go through pretty much the whole process from start to finish of a tail spinner style fishing lure. I actually got the idea of this lure from a picture I saw on google so this isn’t entirely my design. I actually caught a bass with this one too!

You can distinctly see your own artistic signature in your bait creations. Without a doubt you can look at them & say they are something very different in looks than what's already out there. Touche!🙂👍

Very cool video... I like the knurling idea on the foil for the scales I'm going to make me a few of those tools and give that a shot.

Yeah I just use the metal part of an exact-o knife. The smooth end is good for smoothing out and polishing the edge of the foil tape too.

Love the paintjob only thing I would do differently is make it more like a silent lippless with 2 treble hooks instead of 1 with a blade,but in different scenarios I would want it to have the blade on the back.

Very true. I do worry about the hook up ratio with this lure but it also has a lot of flash and vibration from the blade that I like.

You could do a foil lure for flash

They make lures like that, they’re so small that you don’t miss that many fish since they swallow it, and the tail spinner has a different thump and flash than a lipless, and they do very well in colder water.

What was the weight on that build. Very talented. Marling who?..haha. I'm looking for a Tail spin mold for production. The Do It tail spin mold is not going to cut it.

If I remember right I used 4 grams of birdshot. “ I think” it’s been a while. Word of advice, I’d move the line tie forward a bit and make the head of it more … aerodynamic..? Instead of the big flat surface I put on it. This particular build turned out better being used as a lipless Crankbait to be honest.

Realy Nice 👌 im just finished a lead Spintail! I have a little yt channel my self with Fishing and in the winter time here in sweden Its 100% baitbuilding! And I need to say that Its not often i watch quiet movies, but yours are truley awesome!!
