I remember watching my Mom and Dad dancing to this song in our living room when I was a kid. I just adored how they just locked eyes, hand in hand and with smiles ear to ear and thinking how lucky I am to see them like that and till this day when I hear this song it takes me back to that same day. @Bravo…. Beautiful music like this is available. Search Gary Barlow…, he’s been so popular in the UK since the 80’s /90’s. He was with the group Take That (still is when they reunite). He wrote their music and writes his music today. He writes with Andrew Lloyd Weber too. His love ballads and words are special and different. The greatest Soul singer ... ever. I am so fortunate to have seen him perform live - an experience I will never forgot. He had a voice as smooth as silk - unique vocals unlike any other before him, and since. His early death was a tragic loss to music.😞

My kids have grown up listening to Luther, and I cannot tell you just how much joy it gives me when they sing along to his songs, or just start singing a Luther tune out of the blue, I hope they will do the same for their kids, and I hope the chain continues, for this man has given me so much joy and I hope many others get the same, god bless you Luther and thanks.

my grown grand children sing Luther and TeddyP, they grew up on what I feel is the best music of all times...The Temps, Luther, TeddyP, Lionel Richie, Barry White as well as Stevie Ray and many of the Blues greats & soft jazz, music that means something, everyone can sing to, it was a time when music was REAL not the garbage they pump out now from a computer lab. It is just feel good and to know that some of the great talents have gone on leaving us a legacy of wonderful music for generations to come.

+J Eshun Good point, however a nomination is enough to say that you have gained industry "recognition".... and boy was he recognized! Every album he had received nominations... My only problem is that he was boxed in the R&B category, where as I think he transcended the genre. So whilst he was recognized, he never got the recognition he deserved.

Having used to listen to him as a young boy, I think he taught me a great deal about love and how to express it as a man. And learning to love the depth of the human soul..through how soulful and pure his music was. Especially his voice...also those back up singers are killer. Rest in peace, Luther.

But voice-wise? Nah. Big music PR pushed him hard. And what about Gregory Abbott, TTD, Brian McKnight, all of Boys2Men? He's even behind Prince in my book. I think people just need a musical history lesson. And that was just a few R&B singers. I haven't included other genres or races. Too much focus on one man. Kind of like Beyonce now. We are missing out following the cult of just a few "Superstars". I see tons of interesting musicians on ad breaks on here but hardly ever see them again. Sad. I can see a time soon were Luther is forgotten. That's why today my boys got a history lesson. Gotta keep his memory alive.
