Lyrics:
Now, are y'all ready?
Are y'all ready?
Here we go now
Do it with the fever
Yeah, come on
Ain't no stoppin' us now (that's right)
We're on the move (you said it, we've got the groove)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We've got the groove (ooh-oh-ooh, ooh-oh-ooh)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move (we've got the groove)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We've got the groove (yeah, look let me tell you this)

Luther Vandross was a musical master whose style has influenced an entire generation of today's vocalists. His distinctive brand of satin smooth vocal magic moved international audiences and continues to touch people to this day. For almost 25 years, from 1981 to 2005, Luther Vandross dominated the American R&B music charts like no other artist before or since. In that span he released eight #1 R&B albums, seven #1 R&B singles and another five Top 20 R&B singles. He achieved crossover status with eight Billboard Top 10 albums, including reaching #1 with 2003's Dance With My Father; and another five Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles.

Steve Williams: Ditto that 1000%. However, I don't get nor understand what was wrong w/the audience. Other than clapping, they gave Luther nothing to work with energy wise. Had, I had the privilege of being there, security would of escorted me out. I was gonna get up & really start the party & once I got started there would of been "no stopping me now." RIH Luther. Love & miss you. See you on the other side.

One of the many things I love about this is that Luther's arrangement stayed true to the original McFadden & Whitehead - he just put his own magic touch on it and in my opinion made it even better, and this is on of my all-time favorite classic disco singles. And man, what an arrangement and production! Never get tired of that voice - one of my three-all time favorite male pop vocalists.

Love u Luther as a a young white man living in London in the 60s/Boy 70s/Teenager/90s/Man/ I danced my arse of to so many soul RB and reggae Music and dance club classics over the years I couldn't possibly name all the artists or my post would turn in to a book a very long one.Thank you Mr Vandross you lifted my spirit up on many a dark cold evening and made me want to go out clubbing. And hit that dance floor though I was a pretty good dancer as I was told even some of my black friends couldn't keep up with me.now im 60 and would love to go back but we cant . but in the recesses of my mind I can go there from time to time

Although I got in touch with the art by Luther Vandross in the early 90ties (or even earlier), I am only now in my mid 40ties discovering him, binge-watching his performances on KZfaq. Besides his undisputable, fantastic singing, he seems to have been a very kind person. His crew always seems to really enjoy working and performing with him. Am I right?
