I made a mistake with the statistics for Luton's Muslim population. The last time they were published by the council was 2021. At the time it was 32% and growing.
"The number of people reporting as Christian is still the largest group in Luton but the number of Christians fell by 11.4 per cent from 96,271 in 2011 to 85,297 in 2021. The numbers of Muslims increased from 49,991 to 74,191 in the last decade, a rise of 48.4 per cent. The number of people with no religion increased from 33,594 to 39,580 in the last decade, a rise of 17.8 per cent." Luton Borough Council
Muslims in Luton, 32.9%
Christians in Luton 37.9%
people with no religion 17.6%
Above are the stats for 2021, with the rate of Islam increasing we can assume it is the majority in Luton now however, there are no official statements in 2024.

According to Islamic teachings, Muslims are not permitted to date. Instead, we get to know each other through courtship, which is also how traditionally most upper-class families in the west also got married. In the last century, dating has become the norm. A muslim man must seek the approval of the woman's father along with her approval. This is to keep her safe, to stop any man from manipulating her and not being committed to her. If he is interested in a woman, he would either ask for the girls fathers details or go to him directly. The girl would tell her father or male guardian to speak to the man she likes. She can message the man through a third party. It is not permitted for a man and woman to be alone without a necessity in Islam. They can chat as much as they like with a chaperone. There are many websites like this catered for Muslims. This one is specifically for the people of Luton to find matrimony locally. The website allows for easier access to potential suitors without the risk of meeting alone and falling into sin. Which is very easy in today's society.

To me, nothing beats approaching the family directly. But I understand it can be difficult for some people to select a suitable spouse. I honestly don't trust any matrimonial website or app to be 100% halal. However, there are 2 global websites that I have done some research on. So far, they seem to be legit, and the reviews are speaking for themselves. So you can try them out. 1. Nikkagram, 2. A muslim matchmaker.
