Send Ref to the monitor to view the Keeper sliding out uncontrollably and thigh / knee connecting with Carlton's right heel and will stick by his decision. Either way, penalty stands. It's irrelevant if the forward was already stumbling upon trying to accelerate. When a giant frame of a keeper comes flying out at you - uncontrollably you'd better be ready to hurdle him to avoid serious injury. I'd be disappointed if that were awarded against us, but that's more of a foul than the Sunderland pen award against us that would definitely have been ruled out by VAR.

@@ertugrulosman1476 We were obviously watching a different game, but as a neutral viewer I couldn't see any contact between the keeper & forward and the Sunderland keeper was definitely not out of control or reckless (which would have required the referee to issue a Red Card to the keeper). The key to reading this situation as it played out in real-time, was that the Luton player did not instantly appeal for a penalty, so for me, it was pretty clear that even he didn't think that it was a penalty.

Luton fan here ..u guys were awesome tonight...but awesome dont get you no were....lucky with penalty....tonight...but we had our fair share of soft penalty other team getting from ..us...todsy we would havr been top of the league by know ...if we had proper refs or var...safe journey to all boro...really made some noise today in the first half..btw some boro fans taking the piss of our ground..its our home ...watch when the new stadium open..will blow you away....coyh

@@jaxz7676 Maybe countless people haven't seen the post match analysis on Sky Sports, where the female pundit showed an angle where the keepers sliding right thigh made contact with Morris right foot. If the ref was asked by VAR to go look at that angle on the screen, the ref would uphold his decision. In fact, it would not even come to that as there was no clear and obvious error in the refs decision. Dive? Maybe. Contact? Yes. Cheating? No. Penalty award? Yes.

"Dream" is the right word. Boring Boring Boro are going nowhere. You weren't brilliant. One chance throughout the game from one of your many loan players and that should have been flagged for his showing his studs to the goalkeeper. Get back in your box Boro. I seem to remember two brilliant chances from matt crooks (our player) that he really should have scored. Archer (loan) should have really had 2. Bola (our player) should have scored but totally fluffed it. Jones (our player) also had a brilliant chance blocked. Yeah it was our fringe players that played luton off the park but I'm not one of the fans saying if we had full strength we would have buried luton. I'm saying our fringe squad with only one centre back and a left back playing a free role are a far better footballing side than luton and really should have buried luton. We had more than enough chance and crooks usually does score those. But hey u were really lucky we couldn't finish. Luton played well for about 5 to 10 mins of the 2nd half then it was all boro. Cant believe Edwards praised the team. I mean you hung on really well but I would be worried about how much u were 2nd class all over the pitch. You won't get away with that again I bet. Good luck. I think the keeper might have contacted Morris with his leg and I think Morris was going down either way since his balance was gone. I wouldn't call it a dive but I also wouldn't call it a penalty. Luton has lost many points this season to questionable penalties though so I'm not complaining.
