Really good video, we work a lot with DALI and you nailed it. By the way, Lutron released a notice that from now on, the LQSE-2DAL has been discontinued and now its something like LQSE-2DALUNV which need HWQS ver 15.1.

No RA2 Sélect is not DALI compatible

I don’t think there is - we don’t have RA3 in Europe yet

Do you have a wiring diagram of the wiring going from the Dali Lutron module to the light fixture and also what is the recommended wire?

This is shown at the beginning of the video isn’t it? Wiring depends on lengths etc. Best to Google for full cable specs

what about zone numbers (Zone# column)? Are they importatnt when you assign loads to a loop? I always thought that zone number coresponds to DALI group number and has to be unique ? Is Zone Name alone enough to ensure that you won't end up with mixed up circuts (becase they will have the same zone number in different rooms)?

Good point! Zone name is automatically assigned to a zone #, this happens behind the scenes (that’s why I chose not to display that zone # column in the video, because no changes are needed there). Any zone name within a room has to be unique. So once you create your Dali zone and add the number of addressable driver to it and then assign that zone to the correct loop it is wired to, you good. I’ll post a dali programming video next week so stay tuned ✌🏾

on your video you are showing the wiring example for different zones on one loop on T-Tap connection. shouldn't the wiring be looped from driver 1 to 30 on daisy connection and the last connection be to the DALI module?

my question is, say in 1 loop you have 15 discovered Dali driver in a specific area, how do you map out specific DALI driver/fixture (i.e fixture #13) to match with the database fixture 13 you entered?

That’s a very good question! You would that when addressing the Dali drivers (from the addressing screen). This screen will allow you to flash the drivers one by one which you will do until you find the one you want. Then, you will assign it to the one you want in your list of drivers. Voila ✌🏾
