one thing that I found amazing about people in venda is how they start university of venda, the university was started by Venda King using loans, it was during apartheid, no financial aid from apartheid government...this is good example that if south Africans can work together in developing their own country,in 20-30 years to come they can be far in many things...the story on how university of venda was formed always humble me,and it show the important of vision and leadership in society

You know it is good to see rural areas developing but you had a point when you said in the attempt to develop their communities they should not lose their identity "of farming and utilizing their land to benefit them. Because we do not want a situation were rural areas look the same as urban areas

Definitely right. We can’t recreate city lifestyle in rural areas. That is why most people argue that there should be no factories that will draw people to come stay in rural areas coming from all over. The fear is that people come with their ways of doing hence the cities are what they are today. Rural areas should encourage famine and self sufficient living. 🙏🏾❤️

This is our motto. "Munna ula tsha biko lawe' meaning a man only eat from what he works for. You cannot eat if you dont sweat. This is something missing in today's generation that believes in government handouts. If you dont sweat for something you cannot be blessed.

The average cost per square meter for a free standing house in Limpopo is R4732. For a townhouse its around R 4864. It is higher for provinces like KZN,WC,GP & NC. Limpopo, MP, FS & NW all are on the lower side. The advantage in Limpopo is availability of cheaper to affordable labour both skilled & semi-skilled. Sand, Bricks are now available locally, which helps with costs too.

This is not a one size fits all answer. Locals are charged differently. The discretion is on the chief and his council. Non locals also have to provide references from chiefs in their areas, which becomes tricky when youre not from a rural area. Some chiefs are greedy and judge you based on looks. Best not to look your best when you enquire. Where possible avoid third parties as its best to introduce yourself directly so you are introduced to the community properly. Make sure you receive proof of registration with the local municipality as well as your PTO. Tribal living is not for everyone, look up differences between a Permission to Occupy & Deed of Grant as most villages cannot offer a deed until municipality takes over from tribal authority, which doesn't happen too often.

Obvious you know nothing about people in Limpopo South Africa, before apartheid in SA , various tribe use to live together in one place until around 50s when apartheid government divide people base on tribes, however in some area , some people remain with different tribe and still practice their different culture, Venda people themselves are not homogeneous people, there is high chance that you know nothing about south Africa or Limpopo, but you're just using your stereotype that you see in your country and you think is everywhere

I’m sure you have had your own experiences with tribalism and I sympathize. But! People from Limpopo, especially Venda people, support their own due to the discrimination/hate that has been caused by the Nguni speakers of this country. Many have been told they are not even South African, if you aren’t even accepted by your own country obviously you’ll support your own tribe. Please be more considerate before forming negative opinions, you may never know what others have gone through.
