Had to reupload because I accidently cut a clip out. My bad. Good day though! At first there didn't seem to be much going on at the jetty then all the sudden the fish showed up!

That’s so cool ! I want to go camping at the jetties ! Unfortunately I haven’t found jetties here in Florida that have a walkway like those . Guess I’m going to have to come to Texas and let you put me on some fish COOP !

I agree! I know a guy that is a KZfaqr and he told me to get sponsorship is not that difficult but keeping it, is a different story as you must be producing content constantly. He said it makes youtubing no fun because it feels like work.

You guys are truly blessed to have access to such a great fishing spot on a clean, open, uncrowded jetty. That would be and is absolutely unheard of here on the SoCal or NorCal coastline. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I remain content living vicariously.

just curious since I do not live in Cali. Is it the jetties that are crowded? The piers? And also, why? Barring the obvious answers of course. Lol but curious if there is like, a time to go when it is not crowded. Out here in Galveston/Freeport, Texas, my understanding is that one can get a good spot on the jetties when they are not crowded on like, Mondays to Wednesdays.

@@nozrep Compared to what I observed in the video, my first thought was "paradise". Word spreads fast and hot bites attract crowds no matter what type of waterway, fresh or salt. Population 40mil. documented, not including those who didn't take the census here in California. If I think of stripers chasing bait in the surf in Pacifica or salmon running up the Carquinez Strait to spawn (yeah, maybe shoulder to shoulder), but still feels less crowded than SoCal given the catch. Saw a funny, yet sad KZfaq video of underwater cam exploring Redondo Beach Pier. Absolutely no fish in sight of any sort.

@@nozrep Part of the reason CA piers and jetties are more crowded is that you don't need a fishing license to fish from them. Piers are more crowded because they are easier to get on (jetties are just a bunch of boulders stacked on each other and can be dangerous, unlike Texas jetties that are also a bunch of boulders stacked up but they have a flat concrete pathway along the center from beginning to the end typically) and typically have amenities as well like lighting, restrooms, tackle shop, etc.

let's goooooo! that was some awesome red action. the trout and reds were good at the south jetty and at packery the past few days. not much action in the surf other than a real sturdy rip. that was a hell of a pb for ryan, that thing was a chunker.

When doing a distance cast with a stylin’ baitcaster reel, when making the cast, always turn the reel on its side so it rests on the pin of the spool. Least point of resistance there. Imagine the spool as a sort of TOP spinning.
