The hotel is interesting, the location is great and has some historical features but the bricks remind me of cell block H. Shame there are not loads of windows but I am guessing it is a listed building. I love Harrods I go there as supposed to Oxford street (since covid I rarely go to Oxford street as it is so crowded and you have to beware of pick pockets -gangs). You can get a lot of things under one roof in Harrods and the service is great from my experience. In terms of shopping since Brexit things tend to be a bit more compared to Europe. You would have most likely have paid less in Paris for your Goyard bag. But in general there are a lot of options in terms if retailers in London. Westfield Shepherds Bush is another good place for shopping and the famous Bicester Village - the designer discount store (normally dominated by Chinese visitors). Nice that you have a Royce with the room. That means that room was not cheap but you have to treat yourself when on holiday
