alice333 Well I enjoy KZfaq alot, and the creators on it. Have been a fan of this platform for a long time. @@lilnabii I am specifically referring to I don't go to places with high traffic tourist places. When I say I live like a local, yeah they may pass through there, but on the average, locals aren't hanging out there they are going to more hole in the wall places. If there is a big cluster of Americans, I tend to avoid it at all costs.

I had the opposite experience with English. I was trying to practice my korean, but all of the vendors answered me in English. I avoided the seafood stands though, so maybe that's why? There is also a cat cafe there if you don't only want to shop.

But they answered with stereotypical answers sticking almost to a script tho, right? Almost like practiced lines? If you threw them a question like "do you make this sauce yourself?" they'll start panicking.

Actually I really loved a Sulbing I went to over a jewelry store there recently. I went back a couple of times after finding a gangnam sulbing that didn't want to serve me and so I just decided to stick to the one that was friendly after that.

You guys should post where the best places in Seoul to get a hotel when you come to Korea. I'm going there in April and have no clue where to stay. I don't want a really cheap hotel but I don't want to pay for 500 a night either.

When I went we stayed at Aloft. Staff sort of knows english, nice rooms fpr 130 a night. It's also literally a 3 - 5 minute walk from the street food area in the video. 100% nostalgia.

Just out of curiosity, if one would have wanted the lobster without the sweet chili sauce (or notbutter, or cheese), could that have been requested or is it pretty much you get what you get?
