Recoba one of the true legends of football, just a shame he had to deal with nasty injuries, his ball control, vision, delicate skills were out of this world, and definitely in the top 5 free-kick takers of all time, genius of a player 🙏

He scored when he wanted. Simply he could score every Sunday a couple of goals but didn't care.. You can check that when it's his birthday (or that week there will be his birthday) or other occasions dear to him, he will score one two or three amazing goals. But he was happy to be a fan on the stands, just payed as no other football even between the one playing....

Even so, he made my little city and my fellow venetian citizens happy. And this is something we will never forget. We are less and less, almost disappearing, with the houses sold to people from the mainland eager of money and so renting them to spash-and-go tourists. We are crying everyday for our city destroyed by squalid tourism and people using the city as a market and as goods to sell at the same time. And, although all this, el Chino made us happy!!

No conozco mucho de jugadores uruguayo claro con excepción de Cavani, Forlán, Suárez a ellos los conozco al y el Cebolla Rodríguez, pero para mí el chino Recoba era más completo era un monstruo pegándole con esa zurda y velocidad y gambetaendo

He wasn’t as consistent as Messi But for his best day vs Messi best day I would pick Recoba Dribble in tight spaces ✅ Long range shot ✅ 40 M + ✅ Free kicks ✅ Direct goals from corner kick ✅ Crosses ✅ Playmaking ✅ He have so many qualities Messi don’t have But unfortunately he lack consistency Messi can’t dribble in tight spaces Like this He don’t have strong long range shots

Cos CR is always consistent and wins his teams trophies! He is a machine , while there are loads of legends with better quality than CR but very less effort or discipline to achieve at a higher level
