In my opinion, the design of that rifle is the next step in the evolution of that platform, it has the best of both worlds: the flexibility, modularity, precision, etc, of the AR platform and the reliability of the AK and, on top of that, it works much cleaner for longer time. It is almost perfect.

I own the piston one in 5.56 and love this thing. They are made In Cambridge MD on the eastern shore. Im a Maryland Resident. Feels good to say this beauty is made in my home state. I remember when I bought it a couple years back they guy told me you wouldn’t be disappointed in your purchase.

I’ve had several LWRCI rifles and they are top quality, never had any issues. Not the cheapest out there but you get what you pay for. Out of the box they are solid.

They way he tells the stories, feed these hungry animals, it followed me home. This man is a natural. Great videos.

As someone with aging eyes, I've found AR peep sights to be very difficult to use. In the Corps I had no problem putting rounds in the black with an A2 at the 500, but that was 30 years ago. Today I have a hard time focusing on the front sight post without reading glasses, but with 2X reading glasses that makes nearly any target beyond 25 yards very difficult to see. I don't know how older shooters like Hickok do it. Middle age sucks, but I suppose it's better than the alternative.

Have a 12.7 ICA5 and a 16 ICA5 and LWRC does not mess around. Phenomenal platforms, especially suppressed.

LWRC makes solid rifles

I picked up that same model around 8mo ago at my lgs, and I couldn't be happier with it. And yes, it was an impulsive buy but No Regerts!😉 My bank acct doesn't agree though. I know others that have LWCR'S, both di and piston, and they all have positive things to say about them. If anyone had a bad experience with lwcr, it had to have been a one out of a million.

I have this LWRC and it is like the Porsche 911 of AR-15s. Though mine isn't as accurate hitting the targets yet as Hickok but that is probably the operator.

However, when I watch your videos I feel like I’m listening to a friend speak, and am challenge to learn more about all different kinds of firearms. So I went off and researched more information on 6.8 and 556 ammo, as well as the difference between direct impingement and gas piston systems for the AR. I have the LWRC di version & absolutely love it. Upgraded the trigger to a geissele, put a trijicon creedo 1-6 FFP LPVO & surefire light. Plus magpul crap. Amazing rifle

The"look" that it has with the way the receiver runs into the fore grip makes it look like it's from a futuristic end-of-the-world movie. This rifle does have a different look about it. Thanks Hickok45, God Bless!

I enjoy shooting LWRC IC model. The minor complaint is the proprietary rail system. Yes they have models with Mlock. With proprietary systems add on's cost more. Great shooter and easy to maintain. Merry Christmas all!

Love my LWRC IC DI. Shot the SPR, couldn't say I felt much of a difference but I'd like to get a piston AR one day.

I have a 15 year old gov surplus (NSA Scorpion) m6a2 upper on a new m6ic ambi lower that I’ve sbr’d with a surefire rc2 can. I’m running hornady TAP sbr which is a bthp soft point, barrier blind. And I’m getting sub half moa groups out to 300m with an 11 inch barrel. These rifles are unreal. I think production capacity is the only reason they have flown under the radar, but maybe that’s for the best because their qc is unmatched. One of the best production guns in existence.

That is a really nice carbine. I would love to be able to own one of those. I have been shooting and reloading for well over 35 years now and I bought my first AR-15 about 4years ago. I bought a DS Arms from a friend. Turns out that they are only 45 minutes away from my home. I became good friends with them. I bout a FAL made by them. I'm not a big fan of the 5.56 round for anything other then prairie dogs and target practice. I bought the FAL just because I always wanted one but never put one in my collection. Anyway now I have 3 AR platform rifles. I have 5 uppers for the rifles that I have. I built them all accept the first one. It started with a 18" 5.56 then I built a 9mm upper and converted the lower to accept Glock 9mm mags with a sterns mag well conversion kit. I found it to be a pain in the ass to change it back and didn't want to wear it out changing it. I already had the money in the sterns kit and the 5.4 oz buffer kit. So I just bought a new lower receiver and left the 9mm set up alone. I built a 300 Black out and a 458 SOCOM. Then I built a 6.8 upper for it and then a new lower. I'm out of the AR platform rifles kick now. I still shoot them but I think I went a bit overboard with them. Ok long pointless story over. Sorry I went off on a rant. Happy Safe Shooting 🇺🇸💪.

I have the DI version and absolutely love it. The fit and finish are damn near perfect. My only comment on it would be that while the trigger is pretty good its not the best but it is good enough that I havent touched it yet.

i just came to the thought that iv been watching Hickok45 for 13 years O.O i just blew my own mind cant believe its been that long already.

If anyone's curious, if you don't like the fluted barrel, they do make lwrcs with a heavy barrel. Back when I found mine they were rare, but i got lucky, the only lwrc rifle not fluted in the store became mine as soon as i saw it. A red dot with a 3x magnifier Romeo and Juliette optics combo works great, and the price was surprisingly low for quality you get. This is a rifle that I'll hand down to my son, and he to his son.

Would like to see a review of the LWRC M6IC-DI also, especially with a comparison to other higher end DI rifles, like the DDM4V7, BCM RECCE, etc.

I was deciding between one of these and an LMT Defense MARS. I went with the LMT, but I’ll definitely look at these again for my next high end AR. Thanks for the video and great shooting with the open sights.

My older brother who passed away back in September had an AR15 and my soon to be 22 year old son will be able to get my parents to give it to him once he has some kind of certificate showing he has been officially educated by a professional (my folks stipulation) I would love to be able to bring my son down to meet you and be taught by the best! Maybe put him learning from you in one of these here videos would appease my parents more so than a piece of paper. He’s a responsible stable young man with integrity who makes me proud to be his mom. I think you two would hit it off!

LWRCI makes a beautiful AR. Considering getting the IC DI

I picked up an LWRC DI in 5.56 last year. Probably the nicest AR I have ever owned. Well, except the rear stock. It should have come with a Magpul CTR.

I have the DI model and completely love it. Except for the trigger. It was ok. I swapped it out for a drop in. Exceptional rifle.

Only problem I’ve had with lwrc is that I really want one but can’t afford one for the time being. In all seriousness though, my lgs had one as a rental on their range and I fell in love with it. I think it was just their di gun but it was still a sweet shooter.

I bought the A5 version in 5.56 It’s exactly what you would expect, quality across the board and more gun then I would ever need. I felt no need to upgrade the trigger also which is too bad because I really wanted to spend some money on her. Went with the Red dot magnifier set up.

Hey Hickock, I have an idea for a video. I would love to see the impact on ballistic gel from your shooting stance to the big gong. In some videos you can see the bullet impacting the gong and would love to see impact to a gel torso to see if the rounds I'm using would actually stop an attacker, as well as the placement of shots. I got that exact rifle in Tungsten gray all Gucci'd out and man that sucker is nice. Gorgeous and shoots like a dream. I kinda wish it had an adjustable gas block for suppressing but otherwise a near perfect gun.

You are the king of arms

People that talk trash about these rifles have never owned one. Im not going to say they are the best but theyre defnently up there. When it comes to piston ar's they are only surpassed by the HK 416. Lot of people that never owned a quality piston ar, dont like pistons, and bring up frivolous points to try amd discredit them, but the fact of the matter is if you're going to run a fully automatic, suppressed, sbr,... The piston excells in this role over a di gun. I own one, but i switched out all the controls with radian weapons controls, and it is f****** sick!!! Hot rod!!! Only peoblem ive encountered or down side i can say, is that the 2 pushscrews in the front of the handgurd, that allow access to the piston assembly, will constantly come loose after very little mount of firing and you cant tighten them down to hard or you will desteoy the o-rings, so you have to go to their website and order the low profile, headless screws. They are $10 but will fix the problem.

Love my LWRC's I own an IC PDW, PSD and an SPR along with HK, SIG and Colt their the only brands of AR's I own unless I build one etc. The one thing about LWRC is some stuff is propitiatory on their guns that's the only con I have with them. Been a collector going on 30yrs and though I buy guns from other shops such as Atlantic, Midway and with a private FFL direct from manufacturers like Sig, HK, LWRC, CZ, IWI and so one but have to say Buds is one of my longtime go to Gun shops Ive probably bought over 35 guns since 2011 from them also a Team Buds member for over 10yrs as well. Last gun I bought there was a Tavor 7 just a month ago. And NO I do NOT work for Buds in fact I have to say do not buy accessories from them unless you exactly know what you want as their return policy sucks. 10 days and 10% restocking, return shipping fees no matter return or exchange. So firearms yes...Accessories go to Midway or Optics planet etc.

I have a couple LWRC’s, the IC SPR 18” and the 8” SBR, PDW that I have suppressed, both in 5.56 and love both of these piston rifles. I also have to Patriot Ordnance Factory rifles, a 14” SBR in 6.8SPC and an 18” .308both are spectacular piston rifles as well. Not sure which I’d call my favorite, but the POF is a heavily built beast and with the .308 it’s a real sweet ride!

I have the icA5 in 10.5 inch that is SBR'd. Love it! It sure is accurate out to a distance. Pretty loud suppressed still if I'm shooting near trees but it's quiet out in a open field when coyote hunting. I think all ARs are pretty accurate once you find the right ammo that works though. One thing that is really nice that makes it worth it .. thing just stays clean as a whistle! I guess that's the best thing I'd have to say about the piston.

I got the lwrc SPR 16” barrel in 5.56. I love this rifle, No complaints. I’ve heard people bash on some play between upper and lower mine has some play but have never seen it affect accuracy. If its an issue for u, buy the wedge. I’ve also heard people bash on the weight of the rifle, it thats an issue for you, do some pushups. Also fyi My SPR likes to feed on 75grain ammo.

That rifle is awesome. Looking forward to more videos too. Also, since we like cinder dust so much...consider a bag of baseball chalk and a sack of small balloons. Use a small funnel to fill 'em with a few ounces each. Tie 'em off, and set 'em out...or dangle them from your trees near the animals. See if you can hit them. You'll know if you do with great puffs of smoke. It's not easy.
