There was absolutely nothing wrong with the “don’ts” - it was just another style. Best to say, “different ways to wear” more than do/don’t. Style is personal.

“Don’t feel like you always have wear your belt tucked into the loopholes” “Don’t feel like you always have to wear your jeans in the traditional way over trousers” “Don’t compete your belt against bold necklaces or earrings.” “Don’t wear a contrasting belt if you want to look taller” Lydia is not saying the opposite is bad with these statements. She could have titled it as alternative ways to wear your belt, but her phrasing here definitely doesn’t say that the don’t list is wrong. I agree however that framing certain styling methods as ‘don’ts’ comes off as judgmental, even if her phrasing was not.

Can I suggest one more video? It's about wearing scarves in the spring or summer. An important question is about size: small or large, rectangular or square? How to use them in order to make a look more interesting? Another important question is about the fabric and the color, plain or printed. There are so many, in stores... How can they improve a look? Thank you!!!

I like the tips offered in these videos. But, I would like it if she would identify the clothing and accessories brands/designers especially these O belts). Other comments have also mentioned the fact that they would like to be able to find items shown in these videos.

First, I need to buy a belt, lol. I don't have any, being petite it is so difficult to find a size I can buy. I've been going by without one & feeling incomplete. Thanks for the helpful tips. I shall keep looking.

A plain kids belt? (Advice from a short person )
@raraavis77822 жыл бұрын
I haven't checked...but I would be surprised, if you couldn't find a custom length belt for a reasonable price on Etsy. You could also ask a cobbler, if they can shorten a belt for you and finish the edges to match. You could even buy black or brown edge finish and shorten it yourself with a sharp knife. Although, if it's just for one or two pieces... it's probably not worth the trouble. This shouldn't cost you a lot.
@4616452 жыл бұрын
All of the belts I own (as a very petit woman) ai either bought from the kids session or I bought the one I wanted and took to the shoe shop and got it shortened (I'm not sure this is the name, the place where they fix shoes and leather things).

Thanks for all your comments! I did end up finding someone to make it for me & I'm loving it but unfortunately, the material isn't holding up & splitting.... Will look to get something store bought & have it altered.
@zevrxn2 жыл бұрын
depending on the belt material you can always poke more holes in it to make it smaller. when i was a child/teen i was always too thin for normal sized belts and had to poke extra holes to make belts fit me. or idk, i believe there are some belts that have holes all the way around so they could fit you better. braided belts also can be a good option because you can always poke the buckle pin between the braid.
