God. I still remember this - the early stages of ML, that lil studio that was always so packed that some of us would be taking class OUTSIDE (I loved it), the black and green shirts always being sold out, the MC hammer pants with snap backs, and those beautiful empire joggers that were only special order (iykyk), and so much more. This was before TikTok , and even before IG, Twitter, etc were massive things. People would line up on the Smokey mirrors to watch select groups and the choreographer, and then we’d throw our shoes at them cause EWWWWWWWW they’re so nastyyyyyy. Then everybody would go to Dennys on lankershim, eat too much, and then go to jams/kickbacks at someone’s apartment. This was the era that I loved more than anything - and I wish I could relive it with everyone. This was the era when community dancers (mos wanted, choreo cookies, GRV, etc) and industry dancers first collided. For everyone that lived this era, I know you miss it too 😭😩

I had the amazing opportunity to learn this choreo from lyle, and it was possibly the best class I have ever taken.... YES BENIGA.
