I started reading Dr. Kumahige recently and the first chapter mentioned "metastasis on lymph nodes". The protagonist Dr Kokubo's friend Dr. Mukai has terminal cancer which Kokubo agrees to do surgery on him, but sutures him back up after seeing metastasis on his lymph nodes. Seeing that his friend is about to die, Kokubo smuggles him out of the hospital so that Mukai can enjoy his final days and can pass on peacefully. Anyway thank you for the informative video

I don't understand. If a epitelial cell goes to an lympho node the epitelial cell will start multiplicating in the new place?? Or the cell of lymph node will start to mutiplicate randomly by influence of this invasive epitelial cell ? I'm asking that because the cells from the part of tumor look epitelial but i dont understand how the lymphonode doesnt defends itself and just let a new type of cell be there.

hi, very good presentations , please go on et uploads others, i have just a question , we can see somekind of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma glands , i am wrong ?
@misterB22317 жыл бұрын
could it be an adenosquamous carcinoma ???
@Pathweb7 жыл бұрын
ben lotfi hi ben, there are no glands here. The malignant cells are of one type. For adenoca, you would want to see glandular structures with a central lumen and some degree of polarization of the nuclei around the lumen. If you are still unsure, maybe you can point out the part where you thought the were glands.

Can a person having metastatic carcinoma in lymp node(right side of neck) be treated or cured?
@Pathweb5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the carcinoma. Sometimes it is possible, e.g. papillary thyroid carcinoma

Hi..Ive just been diagnosed with metastatic cervical cancer primary...squamous cell carcinoma in my left supraclavicular lymph nodes incurable now stage 4 treatable palliative...but my ct pet scans are clear everywhere else..just finished radical radiation..high dose..5 days a week just waiting to see any positive results..am praying it has eradicated it...I had been in remission for 3 and a half years...so disappointed its a rare metastasis from a gynocological cancer to supraclavicular lymph nodes...😔

Feel fit..healthy and asymptomatic....was a bit disappointed that for a whole year my GP and onc gyno specialist didn't want to know about it...at follow up....as she only deals with "waist down" she could have point me in the right direction!..My GP sent me for a ultrasound told me its nothing just a multinodular goiter!! I begged for an FNA as I felt something was not right..mentally..not physically...and I was right..it was a tumour...rare..but none the less cancer again!...Surveillance for ex cancer patients in remission follow ups are appalling.
