My husband and I have lived in two fixer uppers and I understand every weird and corky thing about her house haha (the weird wiring, layers upon layers of flooring, old windows). Old houses are treasures but they do come with many challenges 🤪 She's made so much progress already, and it looks great!

LOVE the space where the kitchen is away from the living room. I am SOOOO over open concept living. That butler's pantry cabinet is an amazing piece! I hope she leaves it as it is; its beautiful! Love old houses. Our previous house was built in 1900. Old houses have soooo much character to them! Her butler pantry cabinet is gorgeous!!! A lil jealous of it honestly😊

Kara, I live in a 440 square foot apartment and am cracking up at the extra storage. I would be running around everyday enjoying the space to live. I have to go-to a gym just to be able to move around and I have to have a storage unit for my winterish clothes (something other than flip flops) so space for food storage, etc cetera is SO nice. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home and would love to see a KZfaq channel of all the nitty gritty fun stuff and just life in Ohio.

I love the fireplace room! My grandmother used to have a “parlour” of sorts, basically, a little sitting room for company as well as a little book nook just for her. That’s what I would do. 😊Your house is BEAUTIFUL though, so much character!!!

This is the 2rd sister I believe that has the gift of DIY and decorating? Just 👏👏👏👏👏 for preserving a historic home. Wowww this house is a jewel. What a great job you and your husband made to this house. It is better to get on projects slowly and steady rather than all at once. I truly loved it and hope ypu decide to make a YT channel. What a BEAUTIFUL old home!! I just love it so much and how wonderful that they are lovingly restoring it!! The huge built in cabinet in the dining room is my favorite of course!! At first I thought this might be a butler’s pantry! Wouldn’t that be cool!! I hope she can someday get the kitchen of her dreams in this glorious old home!! Thank you both for sharing today!! 😍

How nice of your sister to invite us in to see her new home. I love it and I grew up in a home similar. So many rooms and so large......very nice. I love all the windows but I do agree with her on wanting to redo them as they can. It will surely help with the Ohio weather in winter to have them more efficient. I feel they are so very blessed to have such a lovely home and large........excellent plan of action and how fortunate to move into your own home after getting married. Very fortunate. I think doing the outside of the home in the lighter color added to the new fresher look. Either way, it's a wonderful home with so many options. I think they are so lucky to share that, lots of work but lots of laughter and enjoyment doing your own home. Making it their own is what it is all about. I am thrilled for them. Blessings to all and enjoy your visits with family!

I so much enjoy when you show your sisters and parents in your videos. The interaction with your sister in this video was fun to watch! Her home is lovely. That built-in hutch is beautiful and I’m sure decorating it from season-to-season will bring her much joy. You can tell the home is soundly built as she walked from room to room. Good investment because they sure don’t make homes like that anymore - it has so much character. I love older homes! Enjoy your visit, and I hope this coming holiday you can do some baking videos with your sisters and mom; it would be fun to watch. 🥰❤️

Please tell your sister “thank you” for allowing us to see her home. I love old homes because they have SO MUCH character, unlike newer homes. Please encourage her to keep the unique door knobs… and that chandelier is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! What gem it is to have all those cabinets in her dining room to display all of special dishes etc. The arches are so unique to the age of the home & I love all the windows.. they look original… amazing!! Highly recommend to preserve as much of the homes character & uniqueness as possible. It’s looking fabulous 🤗

I love the before and after pics and would love to see the process. That is just incredible that that much was done. Kara is so lucky to have family or whoever helping. Kara has a fun personality! I love her house. I usually don’t like painted brick, but that is a remarkable transition!! There are quirky things in old homes, but also incredible things like the butler’s pantry and built in cabinets. I have never had an extra room I wasn’t sure what to make it. 😂 But, I dream of having a sewing room! That room really looks like it would be a lovely library. A sweet space to cozy up and do devotions.

Very nice and like all the changes that help brighten up the rooms…The room you’re not sure what to do with would be a great reading/ office / sewing craft space…one of these would be great use for that…My grandpa and grandma built their house back in the early 1940’s and she had the glass door knobs and when you showed that it took me back to the memories of her home!! Thx for the tour!

The built-in sideboard is gorgeous! The room you are wondering about could be a sweet library, reading room. Couple comfy chairs, maybe a table for doing puzzles, play cards. Many possibilities! You're making a beautiful home❣

Oh I love her style. Everything looks greatl! We have an older home we have been working on for 30 years. Haha You get something done and then wait to redo another room. After so many years it starts all over again. We have 9 kiddos so they come first. I love her humble approach to do a little and wait a little for time, money. She has a very cozy home. 😊👍😉

It's lovely and you can see that she and Trenton have worked hard in the past 4 months ( we can also hear Trent is still hard at it , lol ) .
