This week I have been very busy, I have been thrifting and making decor for my home. I have covered many different design styles, French and English Country, Dark Academia and even a bit of Art Nouveau. Let me know what your favourite is in the comments.
I must apologize for the audio, It was a particularly cold day when I was editing my video and I had a heater under my desk I had no idea my microphone would pick it up as loud as it did. So I apologize again for the constant humming in the back ground.

P.S. I am an old, retired woman in Providence RI USA and just happened to find a few videos on KZfaq of small business owners and original designers who have stated that they have found their designs for sale on TEMU. Stamp makers and Handmade quillers and handmade card designers who have all found their designs for sale on TEMU. This made me look into any lawsuits against the company and that was when I found the pending suits by the world court and US government. I hope you found this information helpful.

I was surprised that I loved how the trim and the pink taffeta worked together. I would not have thought of putting the two together. I loved the lampshades and the collection of William Morris prints up the staircase too! The canisters were a nice surprise too. Very beautiful projects. I enjoyed the video very much. Oh Lynsey, you certainly out did Yourself, 👏👏👏. I loved everything, my favorite was how you created the 2 pillows with at that fabulous trim, I bet they both pull your French bedroom together, like a few extra roses on a cake, sugar treats for your eyes ❤️🇫🇷❤️. The William Norris lampshades will look fabulous with your yellow curtains in your living room, when you put them up for Spring again. I loved those curtains the minute you thrifted them a year or two ago. Thank you for some ideas to work on this weekend, after a snow storm we all need motivational projects. Thanks so much Candy, the pillows are the perfect finish to the bed, and I made the lamp shades until I put up my gorgeous yellow chinoiserie curtains, I made shades to match them but they didn’t match with the red velvet 👍❤️

Hi friend, Wonderful thrifted finds. the thimble shelf looks great! I think the set of rocks turned out very nice. Yes, the prints look great. Really like the change on the candles. Wow! the plaque with the antlers looks wonderful! Amazing transistions with your thrifted finds. Love the blue trim on the pillows.

Good morning Lynsey, another superb video! Like your neighborhood thrift stores, the prices in my local thrift stores have gotten a bit ridiculous too! I often wonder who on earth is pricing the stuff, but I do manage to find some good bargains tucked in amongst the overpriced stuff. I love everything you created here, so there is no way I can pick a favorite. As you were creating the antler plaque, I couldn't figure out what you were doing, and when I saw the end result, I absolutely loved it! You are always full of surprises! Have a wonderful weekend!

You're absolutely correct about thrift store prices being ridiculous. I think part of it may be due to thrift store shopping being so popular and people reselling thrift store stuff. Everything looks so 😍 Its all really so cute, but my absolute favorites were the pillows(the 🛏️ is so cute!), dark academia shelf, and lampshade. 😊 💗❣️

I think you’re absolutely right about reselling I have seen many items from our thrift stores turning up at local antique malls with a price ticket at least 300% off the original. ☹️

I too have been a longtime fan of William Morris designs. I ordered myself a calendar and following your example, used a set of 3 gold frames I found in the clearance aisle, framed some Morris patterns. I love them! My favorite today are the lamp shades. They look perfect with the figures. I have a couple of similar little lamps, but I’m not sure I have your patience and skill with the glue gun.

For Christmas I purchased from Temu a vintage looking canvas print of a tattoo lady. I glued it to an artist canvas and decouped it to the canvas. Two coats doing a hatch pattern so that it looks like an oil painting. I painted around the print in a dark color to match the print. It was gorgeous.

Hi Lynsey. Once again you have smashed it. I love the little cabinet and it being black is perfect for all your trinkets. Our queen picture stunning and the tartan shield is superb and very baronial. W Morris prints fabulous but I have not ordered from Temu as yet. Love from Sunderland UK 🇬🇧.

Your my Saturday morning KZfaq fix😉 You helped turn me on to William Morris. I found a lovely William Morris comforter set at Home Goods. Perfect green and pinks. I live in a tiny house so I can’t collect a lot of items have but I would love to hear about transfer ware and how to tell when it’s vintage along with your collection. Stay warm!

Dear Lynsey, I watch you all the time. I find your videos so soothing. I just thought you should know that TEMU has been accused of using forced child labor by the world court in Europe, and data mining in America. It appears that they have gone into their customers devices and changed settings. I know that they appear to be a company out of China, but they are registered in Boston Mass. Furthermore, they have been accused of selling knockoffs of original designs by the designers themselves. I just though you should know this before you decide to work with them

I love Temu! My orders started with dollhouse furniture and accessories and has grown to kitchen and bath items, clothes, decor, cosmetics, seasonal, craft supplies, etc. etc. 😊

Oh, Lynsey, these were all beautiful! The linen trim was gorgeous and I loved the pillows. I also have some of the William Morris prints from Temu. I have been impressed with everything I have purchased there. I agree about the thrift store prices. I actually saw a little dollar store ceramic owl priced at $8! Thank you for another great video.

I enjoyed everything which you created this week. The pillows with the trim turned out lovely and work so well in the room. I purchase miniature materials from Temu, as I make miniatures castle keeps, victorian rooms, grocery store etc. I will look at the Wm. Morris items and illustrations as I have a love for this type of thing as well.

I actually buy at temu. It’s like a regular store: if it’s to cheap: it’s mostly crap. But they have good prices on pictures , and a good selection also. I bought feathers, clothes ( 1-2 numbers bigger as usuall) , shoes , and tableware, toys. Most of the time I’m really satisfied with the quality. And to be honest, there isn’t much alternative for me to shop, all bigger stores in this town has closed down since the last 2 years. Only grocery stores and such are left. Sad to see a beautiful town ( my hometown) slowly dying 😕

Firstly, how very sad that the world has changed so much since Covid ☹️secondly I was absolutely amazed at the prices and quality (that’s why I have always shopped vintage and thrift, value for money) apparently I have only scratched the surface I shall have to try more from the Temu website. Wow--you covered a lot of territory this week. My favorites were the Dark Academia Shelf and the picture of the Queen. But I was really surprised at how much I liked the plaque with the antlers and the pin. My Mum had a couple of those pins (now mine) and they kinda grossed me out, but seeing how you used that one makes me want to take a second look at how I might incorporate it into my own Dark Academia displays. Well done! I've been trying NOT to buy a lot of stuff from China, but I might have to look at those William Morris Prints and see what else they offer.

I was just watching a spring Pottery Barn video a minute ago and the white and blue frayed edge trim you bought was almost identical as pillow trim. PB pillows are EXPENSIVE. I love your redos but no matter how tempting, I refuse to let the Temu’s of the world in. Sick of China and their infiltration of this world. Cheap comes at a price and so does China. I understand wanting to save $ but they are pushing hard and Im noticing more You Tubers are being approached. For me repurposing and reusing is the way to avoid them. We dont need Temu with all the landfills filling up with cheap crap. Thanks for taking us along!! ❤

I no longer donate to places like Goodwill. it irks me to know that their a corporation that pay executives 100s of thousands of dollars and it's probably in the millions now while everything is given to them is obscene to me. Yes they hire hard to employ people sometimes but don't pay them much while bragging about how great they are to the community. I donate to community and church thrift shops that actually keep their prices reasonable. Lovely job on all your items.
