Sweet Home Alabama was the song before Free Bird, which was always their encore. The guitarist in all white is Allen Collins, and you're right, Skynyrd didn't miss. Call Me The Breeze, Simple Man, Gimme Back My Bullets, Saturday Night Special, The Ballad Of Curtis Loew are just a handful of songs that are a must listen, and there are plenty more. They are the Gold Standard of the Southern Rock genre even though they were done before 1978.

I hope someday soon the fake feud will end. He is wearing a Neil t-shirt from Neil's current tour at that time. Neil wrote in their liner notes that he was glad to be mentioned in such a great song, that his name would live on forever. Plus the rumors he offered " Powderfinger" to them

😊 This song is a 1970s version of a diss track to Neil Young for his song Southern Man. They felt he blamed the whole south for slavery. It is the reason he is named several times. Ultimately, they wore each other’s T shirts during the concerts. They were all cool.

Alan Collins is the guitarist in white, and I don’t know if you heard Ronnie say, “WAIT A MINUTE!”, But Allen always just got in his zone and he’ll play until the sun goes down unless otherwise told. So often times, Ronny would have to say wait a minute or whatever he would say to make Allen stop playing. L O L.

Love this band.. but a bit b4 my time.. but it was in my Uncle's time... he was the cool uncle and I remember him taking me out to buy myself a Christmas present from him in like 1981.. I thought I would be so cool also talking to him about Skynyrd... I said to him (12 yrs old) I guess you love Lynyrd Skynyrd.. mind you he's 19 yrs older than me.. he said yeah... when they were alive... I was so not informed that I didn't even know at the time that most of the band had died in a plane crash... Yeah.. Uncle Jim took me to school that night

I don't think ppl back then were informed as much about sunscreen as we are now.. My hubby was 21 when this concert happened, I was ten, he was a red head back then.. He has to put skin cancer cream on every winter for 2 weeks.. he's been doing it for 8 or 10 yrs now to stop any skin cancer from growing... He was a farmer with red hair.. he burnt up like a french fry apparently. I didn't know him then but I see the damage now
