Please don't stop filming the gameplay videos Ron. I for one find them satisfying to finally see a machine come to life after investing the time watching 3-4 repair videos. This one looks like a good theme and layout.

VERY cool old EM! Great job on fixing it up and getting it running again. It looks great and plays really well. The people complaining about the gameplay videos are idiots who don't understand the point of playing it for you. You're NOT trying to be a brilliant player setting a world record on best game ever played, you're trying to make sure the machine actually works properly and plays well. I'm a pretty good player, but I play a game I'm testing completely differently than I do when I'm trying to see how good of a game I can pull off because I just want to make sure everything works! I don't nudge during a test game unless I'm testing tilt sensitivity because I'm NOT trying to win! Keep up the great work Ron!!!

I personally enjoy your Game Play Videos. You may not like some of the comments you get, but hey, they clicked on and watched the video. LOL I have learned Soo much from watching your videos, so Thank You so much for that. Not only with the pinball, but also for the jukes. In this video I learned about the flipper linkage, which I think is my issue with my 1962 Williams King Pin. I thought that they were a little weak, but this is my first short flipper machine, so I had no clue. Thanks to you, I now do!. Your videos are AWESOME, I watch them all the time. Again, Thank You for what you do!

What a stunning transformation. From wreck to beautiful…I’m glad you took the non original post from between the flippers. Usually, these ‘additions’ only ruin the game. It’s just another version of putting rubber bands on the sides so you can’t lose the ball??? This game would probably benefit from hotter coils in the pops too. This would liven up the top end of this playfield. …Generally, the multi-player ems had a more shallow rule set than the single player games. They were also harder to win on, for the most part. This game is a good example of this. Still, I can see a bunch of kids banging this around for hours on end, having a great time. For Amusement Only! Thanks for the gameplay vid Ronnie. I love ‘em as I either played or saw most of these old games being played- but it’s been 50 or more years since I played this game so just wonderful to see it up and running again.

I stumbled across your video watching track and field vids😆🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m super excited when I clicked on your video and you shared where you got your back glass redone at. Thank you so much! I’m currently trying to repair a Charlie’s Angels machine and the back glass picture is pretty much only 60% showing. The machine really doesn’t have that pop without that picture of the angels. My biggest problem so far is the board that holds all the lights and players score displays looks to have gotten wet causing some corrosion to the connections of the light sockets solder points and swelling of the wood. Do you know if anyone makes aftermarket light and player score display or is it one of those things a wood worker would have to recreate? Hope this makes sense, still brand new to refurbishing. Love the videos!

I always thought Shipmates was a difficult game to do well on. 2 inch flippers on such a constricted playfield and big outholes meant you had to be really good to score well. Never on my list to acquire one but neat looking art though. A lot of beautiful games that weren't much fun to play were made then. Those really early EM flipper games had really short play times which you could still enjoy because it was only a nickel to play. About the mid 60's the playfields began being designed to be more open and if you were good you could keep the ball in play a lot longer. Players liked that but the operators didn't so they began switching to 3 ball games. The designers added the 3" flippers in the 70's which made it even easier for the inexperienced players to do well on. That balance of open playfields, 3 inch flippers and skill shots near the top of the playfield really made pinball popular for all skill levels and began the golden age. That's my 60 years of pinball opinion anyway.

@@LyonsArcade Why Yes I did, Ron didn't offer me a turn to play the game! There was one other light that sticks out doing something similar, the bottom target on the right side, though I had to re-watch the video a couple time before I saw that one. The light on the '1' caught my eye simply because I was focused on whether or not Ron could pull off the center shot and light the 2 or 3. I'm sure if yall really wanted I could make a road trip next time I have some free time and nit-pick what ever machine your working on! I was really just wondering what the most probably reason for that would be, so in the unfortunately highly unlikely event that I might someday find myself working on a good ol' EM machine I am better prepared for the multitude of problems I may encounter.
