No. Seeing this makes me even more thankful for the ones I love and the precious moments I spend with them. His wife said she'd wished she would have recorded some of their conversations prior to this event. It took me a minute to realize they were singing for him, but once I did I felt humbled and took a moment to thank God for all that I have. Most of all, I felt human.

True Story. Grew up in the 80s and loved real country music. Ended up being in a band here in Texas in 2002. I also worked as a phlebotomist in a hospital in Dallas drawing blood. I was making rounds at Zale Lipsky Hospital in Dallas when i walked into a room to draw blood on a patient. And guess who was there under a false name? YEP Mr. Pride. My mother who passed away when i as little LOVED C.P. Was one of her 2 Favorite artists next to the Statler Brothers. I got to tell him that. And he told me . His mother and my mother were in Heaven looking down at us. I will never forget it.

Seeing Charlie Daniels and Charley Pride singing together knowing now they're both gone is heartbreaking. The part where they start singing Randy's "Forever, Amen" is amazing. The answer is simple. The dumbing down of the country consumer. Once trash like achy breaky heart found its way to number ONE on the charts, the course was set. The artists, record executives, etc. knew from that moment, they masses would buy any audio garbage they spewed out, as long as it had one of two elements. A catchy grove or a artist that appealed to the masses for their looks. People that cant carry a tune in a bucket are now stars thanks to auto tune, and other software in the studios. The market is now supported by the younger generation. Why? they buy more product and attend more concerts that us 50 - 60 year old folks. I am thankful I lived and played music when it was still REAL country.

This brings tears to my eyes. I love country music. I've always noticed how country artists don't battle each other like other music genre artists. No offence to them, and certainly it's not all of them, but I've personally seen that country artists build each other up and show each other love quite a bit more. When Brad sees Randy come out, his main focus is to show tribute. Even when Randy sings that amazing "amen", Brad puts his hands on his head in amazement of one of his heroes. That smile and those eyes. My mom grew up with the biggest crush on Roy Rogers and she said that Clint lookalike him the first time she saw him singing years ago.

Some of my favorites on one stage. I have a lot of favorites. I always thought that I could never like the new country, but there really is some good new country. Luke Combs, Josh Turner, Milton Patton, just to name a few. A true country fan would like all country music. I've been listening since the 60's. My father played in a country-swing band practically his whole life. The Mississippi Swing Kings from Iowa.
