Simon Boswell - No Flesh Shall Be Spared / Fields of the Nephilim - Power.
Opening scene of Richard Stanley's movie 'Hardware' (aka 'M.A.R.K. 13') with Simon Boswell's opening theme ('No Flesh Shall Be Spared') and Carl McCoy's cameo; Fields of the Nephilim's 'Power' to various edited clips from the movie. FotN were due to contribute to the soundtrack of R. Stanley's movie but Palace Pictures (tied to Virgin) wanted only their own signed artists.
M.A.R.K 13/Hardware was based on the 2000AD comic strip 'SHOK! Walter's Robo-Tale' featured in the 1981 Judge Dredd Annual but the creators of the comic strip were omitted from any mention in the film's original release form, leading to a lawsuit and finally 'SHOK!' creators, Steve McManus and Kevin O'Neil, being given closing credits on subsequent releases of the movie. Thankfully, this means Hardware can be seen as the first 2000AD spin-off movie ahead of the Stallone 'Judge Dredd' movie. :-)

The Nomad (what he's credited as) or The Zone Tripper, what I like to call him, should have been main character. Even though he wasn't played by an actor, but it looked like he had the more interesting life.

Indeed. The movie is mediocre at best but scenes with Nomad/Zone Tripper are simply amazing. If you want Fallout movie look no further

This movie is the reason I got into Fields of The Nephilim. Legendary band and movie! “No flesh shall be spared.”

This has been re-released in a 2-Disc Special Edition. Definitely worth getting. The picture is clear and there is footage that was edited out of the original release. Worth every penny.

Agreed and thanks indeed for the info ! only thing that could make the special edition even beter is if it came with a die cast figure of MARK 13 its self !

Love this movie a lot. The genre mix of Horror, Cyberpunk, Industrial and Post Apocalyptic is great and its has great visuals and as a fan of 2000AD (though I'm aware of the lawsuit) I really dug it. Also a film that has 3 musicians from killer bands with Carl McCoy, Iggy Pop and Lemmy, perfection 👍 Its also impressive since it had a low budget, too.

27 years in, this movie turns out to be the most relevant SF movie of its generation. That is not a compliment to our current state of affairs.

This and Death Machine are probably in my top 5. That scene with her constructing the beast with ministry blaring in the back is amazing

+DjKidChameleon Finally. Someone else who appreciates Death Machine. "Does anyone have a match?", "No, but I do have a thermic detonator" and "Turn that 1980s shit down" are possibly my two favourite, non John Carpenter based quotes in cinematic history.

I consider HARDWARE and Death Machine to be 2 parts of a Trilogy were we got to film the 3rd part set today so the machine plot is in reverse timeline order. XD

I had this on vhs - that tape died so i can't watch it. Can't find it youtube in english or with eng subs. Thanks for the opening scene to tease me. This was a great flim. Guess I'll be forced out of the house to rent it from someplace.
