Hot, Hot, HOT! It was a hot day for riding in Lancaster, CA. At the time of the recording, it was about 108F! We took lots of breaks and had to end the day early. When packing up to leave, it reached 110F. It was still great fun anyway.
I wasn't super happy about my competition runs. It wasn't bad but I definitely was initiating my turns a little early at times which was costing me a time. Definitely something I need to work on for sure. On top of that, there were tons of tar snakes all over the place that were making me nervous and some areas of the asphalt were chunky and gravely. Not very confidence inspiring but I came in first place regardless.
In other news...I am excited to announce that I have decided to sell my Ninja 300 after 7 years together. It will be sad to see The Ninja go but I feel like I have reached the limit of how fast I can go on it comfortably. I already know what I am going to buy next and I am excited to show you all very soon. I have tested the bike I want and I feel WAY more confident on that bike, even in stock form. Stay tuned, My Amigos!
