In the Black Dragon fire in 1987, the beloved wife of Zhang Dequan tragically perished in the flames. Before the tragedy, the couple had no children, and in the more than thirty years following his wife's death, Zhang never remarried. Mrs. Kang loved dancing, and during their courtship, they often snuck into a cluttered storeroom, lit a lamp, and practiced dancing on a small patch of ground. "Countless grains of dust flew up and down, as if spirits were dancing around them." This scene remains the most cherished memory of Zhang's life. Later, not far from the storeroom, someone opened a dance hall. Every evening, Zhang would go there alone to dance. During a visit to Mohe in 2019, musician Liu Shuang heard of this story and, with Zhang's permission, composed the song "Mohe Dance Hall" in tribute to all lives lost to misfortune.
