This is nothing short of a inspirational message for all the people who are hesitant to start learning a new language. You are a living testimony that you CAN be the person you want to be if you put your heart to it!!
Hearing your journey was really inspiring! You became so fluent in such a short amount of time! I love that your mannerisms and expressions are very 台. I have a lot of family in Taiwan, so hearing things like that make me smile (also when you went like "you can say 'doe shia' instead of 'xie xie' in your beef noodle soup video)
Same here that's how I learned English when I came to Canada! Watched all the programs in English because at that time there was no KZfaq! Therefore all the shows I watched on TV were all in English only. After awhile I caught on what words meant! Most importantly I went to school where there were only Caucasians at the time so I was forced to speak English to communicate with my teachers and classmates!
Really enjoy your KZfaq videos. Both of your Mandarin and Taiwanese are excellent. You have a beautiful smile and a big heart. Taiwan is proud to have an American 媳婦(daughter-in-law) like you. Keep up the good work, Elizabeth.
You’re really an outstanding Chinese learner and speaker. I love your channel which is so interesting! Looking forward to hear something special from your hometown, the United State of America.

2:25 even the way you say "superstar" sounds Taiwanese. Very impressed.

I’ve been schooling since primary school and living abroad for like 20 years. And I think my English still sucks. All I can say: Lady, you are talented in language. 100% No doubt.
