Not really...To me this is medium income group spending for KL area. Most of the spending is more or less accurate except for the spending on the clothes. I dont think will need to buy clothes every months. RM1000 for clothing may be every 2 or 3 months.

For your information, Seremban, Melaka and Johor, they are not just speaking Mandarin, usually in Seremban they speak Cantonese (olders person) and mandarin, for Melaka they speak hokkien and mandarin, and Johor, Mandarin, hokkien and teochew. If I'm not mistaken.

Cantonese is also widely spoken in Sabah along with Hakka. In the past, many ppl frm Hong Kong did settle down in Sandakan, Sabah.
Been stay in HK for almost 4 years, so did follow u guys, and ya.. Selamat datang.. Your calculation is quite accurate. Really can be a reference for those who might consider to come Msia. Only one thing, not much of us can understand yellow revolution, so better don't touch this topic.

Hello Gary & Hilda! Wife and I just love watching ALL your videos! Great content, well filmed and VERY entertaining! We come back to Malaysia from Canada EVERY year and will snowbird longer and longer as we age. Who is your health insurance provider that you mentioned? We are super interested! Thanks!
I am from Sydney, just filled in AUD $2.15 a litre petrol. That is about Ringgit $6.86 a litre. Two people with rent only spent Ringgit 9,000 a month? Here's I just eat out about four times a week and cook the rest at home, food cost about Ringgit 8,000 a month already. If I moved to Malaysia, I would be living like a King!

Hi, thank u for the evaluation on the living standard in Malaysia. The cost of living depends on which state & town you are living in. The standard of living, food, shopping, transportation, housing & etc shared by you guys are for those living around KL area.
Wardrobe expenses too high ... as you said our weather is very friendly w/o the four seasons so you can cut down your expenses on "衣着打扮" to half , use that to hire a part - time maid to enhance the quality of your life .
To local RM9,000 expenses a month for couple is luxury
