Mélissa nailed the first female ascent of the famous sport route graded 8c/11- on Thursday, 8 May 2014, 27 years after the route was opened. Wallstreet was first climbed by legendary Wolfgang Güllich, a former adidas athlete, in 1987. The classic route at Krottenseer Turm in Germany's Frankenjura, known for numb fingers and battered skin, is considered a mile stone in sport climbing history and regarded as one of the toughest routes worldwide. Mélissa truly 'enjoys' the Frankenjura-style holes and pockets, as this video by Scott Noy shows.

It looks like this isn't the actual ascent but seperate sections filmed afterwards. There are several cuts.

@@PhilippamBerg Well, I care whether it's the actual ascent or sequences filmed afterwards. I'd go so far as to compare it to the difference between footage of the Moon-landing and footage of the debriefing after the Moon-landing. Take the video of 1st assent of Biography/Realization (Chris Sharma): Apart from the 480p, it's still my favorite climbing video because it shows his fight and his emotions at the high crux - it's such a nail-biter. The first half of the video are the sequences (and a failed attempt) as an overture, so to say. Now imagine the video would end there :o

Yeah, no shit, right! Güllich was criticisied for rap bolting by the American hardmen back in the day, but for modern standards that is incredibly run out! Dude was a god for sure....

This is usually the bolting in Frankenjura. Really high first bolt and the rest is ok.

Beautiful woman, voice, climb and route. The first bolt was too high tho?? but oh well if you can climb 8c I guess that you have to have some free solo stuff in you..
