Chandrababu was born on April 20, 1950 to Karjura Naidu and Ammanamma in a farming family in Naravaripalli village of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. He did his primary education up to fifth standard in Sesapuram and up to ninth standard in Chandragiri Government High School.[11] Later he studied from high school to post graduation in Tirupati. He received his bachelor's degree in 1972 and his master's degree in economics in 1974. And while doing research for a doctorate in economics, he got involved in politics and ended his academic journey.
