A university where you can secure admission. Air university is better comparatively. Its system and processes are quite better than other universities.

I will not recommend you to change, keep on going on the track of Linguistics as you must have good basic knowledge of it. Also, you can change but it might be problematic in many aspects. You can discuss with me in detail. Check my WhatsApp on the profile.

Your GAT General is acceptable in all universities those that accept GAT, if they also conduct subjective test then you have to appear in that then in interview. Also, some universities have then only interview without taking subjective test. They only rely on GAT either from NTS or a University GAT.

No university is ideal for this, the one is the best that offers admission in Ph.D English Literature and you can secure admission in. Once you secure admission, you can do it anyway. At this level, it depends on you and your interests not the university to a great extent.

Yes, possible and you can do it if you can secure admission in M.Phil Literature. It is not a major shift. However, I would recommend linguistics as it brings more employment opportunities in diverse areas of jobs as compared to literature.

It depends upon your interest. If you have the possibility, applied linguistics is a better option than literature regarding employment and earning opportunities.
