A good starting point on US healthcare system, which is one of the most complicated. Apart from medical insurance through work, there is Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP. All three are applicable to US citizens and green card holders. Medicaid is administered at state level, therefore varies from one state to other. Generally, it is an insurance for low income people, paid by the government. Medicare is administered by CMS. US citizens can opt for Medicare once they are 65 years old. CHIP is a government insurance program for children, if their parents do not qualify for Medicaid. In addition, there is a healthcare for veterans, called VA healthcare, which covers pretty much everything for veterans. As you have indicated, one of the big dragging force for US healthcare is the cost. The amount of money we spend is the highest among developed nations but the outcome for many health metrics are not as good considering the amount of money spent. Buy if you consider critical care or treatment for rare diseases or many incurable disease, it's unparallel. That's because of the money spent in basic as well as clinical research is huge, compared to any country.

Northern Virginia থেকে তোমাদের vlog enjoy কোরছি. খুব ভাল presentation and very professional. Hospitalization নিয়ে বলি, এখানে up front কোনো pay করতে হয় না. If you have insurance no doubt hospital will bill the insurance. However, you still have to pay the copayments. যদি health insurance না থাকে তবে after discharge they will send you a bill. তখন তোমাকে pay কোরতে হবে। if someone has a low income and they can proof that by showing the pay stub or other income document, that time the payee will be eligible to get a discounted rate.

HMO insurances ektu kom hoi but plan to plan differ kore. Ami last 10yrs dhore US healthcare system er upor kaaj kori. Pros and Cons dutoi ache but jeta matter kore seta holo code. Puro system tai code ee upor chole. Ei coder basis ee insurance company determine kore je koto INSURANCE debe rr koto amader dite hobe. HOSPITILIZATION er expirience amar oo nei but ami etuku jani je khub expensive hoi.

আমেরিকা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে চিকিৎসা সেবা নাগরিকদের মৌলিক প্রয়োজনের মধ্যে ধরা হয় না । অন্য অনেক কিছুর মতো চিকিৎসা সেবা এখানে একটি বাণিজ্য । মানে চিকিৎসা সেবা পয়সা দিয়ে কিনতে হবে । আর তার জন্যে কিনতে হবে উপযুক্ত স্বাস্থ্য বীমা । যার স্বাস্থ্য বীমা যতো দামী সে ততো ভালো চিকিৎসা পাবে । আর বীমা বা অর্থ নাই তো চিকিৎসা নাই ; তা বিশ্বের সবচে ধনী দেশ হলেও । অর্থাৎ সবাইকে সুস্বাস্থ্য ভোগ করতে হবে এমন তো কথা আছে কি ? আবার সবাইকে বেঁচে থাকতে হবে এমন ও কোন কথা নেই । এদিক দিয়ে ইউরোপের নাগরিকগণ নিজেদেরকে অবশ্যই অত্যন্ত ভাগ্যবান মনে করতে পারেন । কারণ, এসকল দেশে নাগরিকদের চিকিৎসা সেবা দেয়া রাষ্ট্রের দায়িত্ব বলে গণ্য করা হয় ।

আপনারা যখন গতবছর কলকাতায় গিয়েছিলেন তখন সেখান থেকে ওষুধ কেনেননি.... ওখানকার ডাক্তারের একটা প্রেসক্রিপশনে কিছু ওষুধ লিখে দিলে ওরা এয়ারপোর্টে ধরে না। বড়জোর প্রেসক্রিপশনে দেখে ওই ওষুধ গুলোই আছে নাকি..😊😊😊

আর একটা কথা শুনেছি দাদা। এখানে নাকি দাঁতের চিকিৎসা করতে 3000 ডলার খরচ হয়। ওর অর্ধেক টাকাতে ভারতে গিয়ে চিকিৎসা করিয়ে আনা যায়। এইজন্য ভাবি,শুধু শুধু এয়ার ইন্ডিয়া ফ্লাইট গুলো সব সময় ভর্তি থাকে না। 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
