Why on EARTH Bryan didn’t start killing creatures early on and throughout the game with Scourge and Dragon Tempest I will never know.

Meren was popping off while Emmara and Ur Dragon got tunnel visioned. As a Meren player I’m surprised Armen wasn’t targeted sooner.

When i saw the unlimited Squirrel horde: "Boy it would be tragic if someone uses a Massacre Wurm."

Someone at my LGS plays Marton Stromgald and I have mad respect for them for it.

I don't know what Bryan was thinking, but I would definitely try to take out Meren player first, especially if he started his Sakura-Tribe Elder loop that fast.

Lots of Meren salt in the comment section, hehe... but yeah, she stuck around too long. Bryan had many opportunities to aim his Scourge of Valkas and Dragon Tempest triggers at Meren to slow her down, but chose to burn Jason's face instead. Not the best threat assessment in my humble opinion.

That emmara deck was impressive. Great piloting by Jason!

I've never seen a table ignore a Meren player harder.

I feel bad for Eric/The Márton player. I know we all have bad play days, but this was so awkward to watch. They (Emmara and Ur) literally killed each other with their rage boners leaving Eric (a mono red deck) to try and fight off an untouched set up Meren. Hopefully it was a longer game in person and wasn't too frustrating to be in the game.

I've been eying Marton for a while now, it's good to see him get some love.

Meren is the first deck I've built that can hang with the big boys and girls at my lgs and I love this. Like everyone is saying.. why Armen wasn't targeted sooner is strange but it is also fantastic

My boy Martón! First combo I ever learned was in a 1997 copy of Inquest. Pair Martón with a maze of ith to protect him when you swing in.

idk if this was bad politics, bad threat assessment, or what. But the ur-dragon player had all this board control. and just went face like a goober. he easily could have killed the emmara and the meren or other mid/high power utility creatures... constantly. my biggest issue was that the red deck did 2 things that impacted the table. a wheel of fortune and removing the earth-craft. all in all it was a 3 player game where one player wasnt actually using the tools they played. 10/10 not interested in watching more games with these players.

Very good game. I've come around on combos, and I like the Earthcraft Squirrels loop.

Commenting before watching: I have a Meren deck and have helped a close friend of mine with his Ur Dragon deck. With that bias, you know which two decks I am rooting for and will be paying most attention to.

That Massacre Wurm play, that was sick, also if you see a graveyard deck why does no one run Graveyard hate anymore seriously that's something people need to learn to run if they want to stand a chance, hell Tormod's Crypt is free and basically just says no to any Graveyard

Marton isn’t bad in the 99 of a agro deck, but he’s always best as a surprise. It’s interesting to see him as a commander, but it only served to highlight his many flaws. Him being a 1/1 chief amongst them.

This was an... odd... game. Props to Eric for using the deck he's using, but it was awful. Did almost nothing all game. I feel really bad for Jason tbh, him and Armen are clearly good players, but Bryan really let the table down. I think Jason swinging at Bryan with Emmara twice in a row must have made Bryan think there was some kind of grudge, when in reality he was the only sensible target, as the other two had blockers. Not only was Bryan messing up by hitting face and not targeting creatures, he also let the Meren player go unscathed. He could have easily taken out both Emmara and Meren. He may as well have been playing a group hug deck. Armen was very much given free reign here. Good plays but the win was kinda handed to him a bit. I'm seeing loads of salty comments about Meren when in reality Jason had the horrible deck here. Infinite tapdowns and infinite tokens is disgusting, the table should have been thankful that the Meren deck was there to put Emmara in it's place.

Is it sad that before I even watched this video I already knew Meren was going to win? She is crazy strong and unless people have graveyard hate or lots of removal or control it is very easy for her to ramp up value faster than people can deal with.

A lot of comments about Meren hate. Personally I believe that Meren has become one of those boogie man commanders that really doesn't deserve the fear after the power creep. Don't get me wrong it is good but people say to kill the Meren player when realistically players just need to run graveyard removal. Every single black deck MUST have bojuka bog 5 color or less...non black needs a rest in peace for white or one of the graveyard artifacts. If you greed out and don't run those you have no one to blame but yourself if Meren goes off

Between the og duals and the enchantments in that Emara deck, I don't know if I'd say that the Ur dragon and Emara decks were casual. Stacks and ludicrously expensive micro-advantaging.

It feels like the game was decided the moment Bryan and Jason started focusing each other and left Armen chilling with his Meren. Furthermore I don`t know why Bryan didn`t kill Emmara with one of the Scourge/Tempest triggers. That would have slowed down Jason significantly and he would have been able to try dealing with Armen while Jason is rebuilding. P. S. In my point of view (personal opinion, no hate) Bryan`s Ur Dragon deck wasn`t built very well. Yes, he has all the top tier lands in it and many of the best dragons available, if not all, but I didn`t see any ramp from him nor any of the high impact enchantments except the Dragon Tempest. He might have kept a bad opening hand, but just slamming big dragons one by one is not the best way to play this deck. I can tell because of my personal experience with The Ur Dragon, which in fact is my main deck.

Seriously, the game's on this channel have the worst game awareness I've seen. Why didn't the Ur dragon player killed the Meren one? I'm sorry, but every single game there's some glaring mistakes like this that just make it watching a chore.

I don't like being a hater, but Its so boring to see a meren player who tutors as much as he wants, puts into play engines, etc, being ignored. The Ur-dragon player has no clue on threat assesment.

I stopped watching this channel a while ago. Wasn't a conscious decision, it just kind of happened. I think I know why: it's really painful to watch bad magic. Nothing wrong with it in-person, but as entertainment...just yuck! I loved the old days with Trevor, Evil Adam, and Harry, but life moves on. I'm not trying to complain. But, I can't see why the Meren player GSZ for an E-Wit, getting the Dictate back. Rec-Sage kills Glare, and Dictate doesn't do squat against a token deck. I could be wrong though, because the token deck blew it up....why? None of it really mattered, because none of the other players tried to hate out the Meren deck at all. From the opening hands to the end, no doubt who was going to win.
