Watched your build vids a couple times now. I also have an M101a that the wife and I have been playing with and you've given me some great ideas! Just watched this one again to see how you did the lock and roll because I rather hate the pintle setup and want to dump it.

Travis Suckley I’m glad these videos gave you some ideas! I love the lock n roll so far. It’s much easier than I thought it was going to be to hook up and there is zero slop the entire time you’re driving.

Great video. I’m working on mine. I may be missing it... can you share a link for the he hitch you used?
@CallIntheCountry3 жыл бұрын
Paul thanks for pointing this out, I just updated the description to include the hitches I used both on the truck side and trailer side.

great vid, thinking about getting one of these for my trailer. You in az? noticed the hamilton huskies shirt

Yep, I'm here in AZ. I love the hitch. Awesome articulation and quite unlike the pintle it had.

@@CallIntheCountry nice, I am in the east valley. There's been a few times that my trailer has almost tipped over on the trails. If it were to tip, the vehicle would go with it, this seems like a good option to make sure if the trailer tips, it doesn't take the tow vehicle with it.

I see you're in AZ... Any interest in installing that hitch system in my military trailer?? I obviously would pay... Let me know!

Bro.. Where did you get that lunette ring/pintle coupler?????
@CallIntheCountry2 жыл бұрын
Fox, it’s not a pintle coupler it’s called a lock n roll and can be found here: locknroll.com So much better than the pintle.

What does the other part of the hich look like? I want to do a DIY articulating hitch or get a lock n roll for my M416.
@CallIntheCountry4 жыл бұрын
Mike Anderson this is the one I have. Hooks up pretty easy which is one of the things I was worried about when I was looking. locknroll.com/shop-now/vehicle-side/pn-511-adjustable-height-trailer-hitch/

Thx. They are not cheap. I think I will look into making my own. I am in Phoenix too
@CallIntheCountry4 жыл бұрын
Mike Anderson no problem. You can for sure make your own, I had a hard time forking over the money for mine too. You can take measurements off mine if you want to fab your own though. shoreshunter@gmail.com

Why did you choose the lock n roll over the max coupler?
@CallIntheCountry3 жыл бұрын
From what I researched the lock n roll was supposed to be easier to hitch to the vehicle. From my experience with it so far I have had no issues with hitching up and see where the max coupler could have been tricky at times.
@xbpbat21x3 жыл бұрын
@@CallIntheCountry thanks for the reply...are you still happy with it? No play or rattling from the hitch?
@CallIntheCountry3 жыл бұрын
@@xbpbat21x nope. I’d guess that I’ve put about 2000 miles on it so far. Couple hundred of those being off-road.

Curious if you have the old hitch still? I have attempted to flip mine many ways without success.
@CallIntheCountry4 жыл бұрын
I actually just tossed that the other day. Just trying to flip for the height difference?
@DreamingTree-vo9lj4 жыл бұрын
Call-In the Country yes. A flip would help the trailer sit level with my lifted Jeep

Waiting for him to drop that big chunk of steel on his toe Did you weld it on to with those shoes? Careful there mr flip flop.

When it’s 120 degrees inside the garage I wear flip flops and as little as possible when I can. Boots, pants, and sleeves only come out when needed...like welding.
