That's the exact reason why I didn't rebuild and just replaced. In all my explanation, I should have said this but didn't think of it.

With the wire diagrams, pin out on each connector is what matters and the diagrams show that. I didn't think to see if the colored wires were numbered, they might be. Generally, it's a requirement for military wiring.

​ @CallMeColt makes since.... with it hard to get A1 TM stuff though... makes it little different story. Though some of the electrical is one of them there is available. Not sure if it is a color coded diagram or still just numbers.

out of curiosity... if anyone has dealt with these truck's harness that is colored wire? Please do report if you recall them being numbered or not.

No. My goal was to get them working again, not do an entire service. I would have had to add a lot of extra work like removing wheels, drums, brake shoes, and all that to do it. I was note prepared to do that. When I rebuilt my rear hubs, everything looked fine and they haven't been giving me trouble. Should I have gone through everything? Yes. Did I have the time to completely go through the entire brake , learn how to do it, and record this? Nope.

Park/Spring chamber is always on the outside if I understand correctly on wedge brakes with spring park brakes, at least with Haldex.

I have been learning the audio stuff. It seems good on my end, but admittedly I'm very hard of hearing. Thanks for pointing it out!! Going to look up some videos on how to keep audio leveled out in my editor for the next one.

@@CallMeColtLLC I hear you there. Working with vacuum pumps has ruined my ability to pick out voices from noise. I appreciate that you dont try to talk over music in your videos. I can almost never understand people when they do :)

@@DagarothBlackrose I worked with vactor trucks for years, they definitely don't help your hearing! Though mine was damaged before them anyways, that hum doesn't seem to be stopped no matter how good of hearing protection you have on.

I don't know for sure, I didn't take it apart. Could have been either. The band clamp was tight.

I reference the Technical Manuals all the time in my videos, so what's your point? The support for the manuals on the basic model trucks like this stopped in the early 2000's. Parts have been discontinued or replaced. The TM's have errors and leave out information as I've pointed out multiple times in my videos. There's easier ways that the TM's show at times. Lot's of things simply are not covered as the military never considered repairing certain parts or doing certain upgrades. You don't need to buy them either. They're free to download and mostly everyone with one of these trucks knows that. So what's your point? That people posting videos like this is useless because the military made a manual almost 20 years ago for the truck? Lots and lots of what myself and other have posted in our videos goes away above and beyond the TM's.
