if that is how they load magazines, soldiers should really not go unprepared. That looks time consuming.

@@august6281 From what I know, soldiers carried a few backup (pre-loaded) magazines with them. So at very least they'd have a swift means of reloading in a pinch. However, when the spares run out, they'd use these stripper clips to load up the magazines again. Which Misha demonstrated beautifully.

@@august6281Bulk quantities of 5.56 usually come in cans filled with factory loaded stripper clips. All you need is to put your key on your magazine and load away!

Very hard to focus the camera in Such a manner it doesn't point to the gun or the background, but it is possible to see a glimpse of the round mid air even through a scope.

One thing that's missing: no fun switch or full auto so it's not a M16. This would be an AR-15 with the A1 style upper receiver system.

I absolutely love M16 and all it’s family of rifles. There’s just something in it’s silhouette. And that carrying handle. In fact, one of my very favorite gun depictions is M16+M203 complex. It just looks absolutely perfect and I adore it, from a purely aesthetic point if view. I mostly view guns from that PoV.

I always used the XM16E1 in semi-auto in MGS3 but had no idea how effective it actually was from a IRL marksmanship standpoint until now. That's a pretty tight spread being fired in such succession

I didn’t realize how much I liked the 16 until I got to my unit and the armorer handed me an M14. The 16 had its quirks, but once you learned how to sight it at different ranges (distances) it was a superb weapon. Mine was anyway.

Load either way, but you should test every magazine that is used for defense. I also download by 1 round for easier loading and to reduce the pressure on the feed lips.
