None of the abrams in game have DU inserts or DU rounds (because gaijin “balance”), so the ones in the US tree are basically export tanks, especially because they get gimped ammo wise, better ammo and armor would take the abrams to real life effectiveness, but instead, gaijin’d

fun fact, none of the abrams have their DU armor inserts, in fact, they're missing so much armor that the driver only has 30mm of steel on the top, this can be seen on all top tier abrams. you can even see in the x-ray that the HC has the same amount of armor has the normal m1a1. not to mention that all M829 shells are missing anywhere from 50mm to almost 200mm of pen...

@@TheJessecarpenterIt’s pretty obvious when all Abrams have the same exact armor even though the upgraded models should have better armor because of DU inserts. No one knows how much the values should be but it’s stupid how Gaijin will randomly make up values for every top tier MBT and then just buff Russian ones with 0 proof and leave western tanks in the dust because they say there’s no credible evidence.

@cuhyotepowered1201 all of the abram's dont have the same armor tho? The first one has around 350mm effective on the turret, the m1a1 has aroind 450mm effective on the turret and the m1a2 and m1a1 hc both have around 670 or so mm of protection on the turret. As for the hull, the m1 normal has around 300mm and the rest if them above that have I think around 350 to 400mm for the hull front.

Word of advice: If you want to grind for the APFSDS shell in any new top their tank you get, and you don't want to suffer a lot with HEAT, play Assault Ground Battle. It's surprisingly good at grinding out RP For me at least Saved me a lot of rage

Nothing like arbitrary "whoops-your-shell-hit-an-odd-angle" tomfolery in the game's code to make all your effort acquiring a powerful high-tier vehicle feel like playing two-man Russian roulette. Even Mario Kart with all of its catch-up mechanics and items feels more fair than this.

Abrams tanks past 10.7 are much worse than competitors (so past IPM1 really), which wont change because apparently Gajin doest want to add m829a3 and m829a4, and upper front plate of abrams is a joke.

@@baero5 Debatable. For sure any NATO tank would curb stomp the RU tanks but the T90M. Abrams, Leo, Chally, Leclerc would all have their own "niche" and all would be very very strong. Its not just the Abrams thats not correct. Leo would be more than a match for it and the Chally should be much more survivable than both of em. I dont know much about the Leclercs but i assume the French produce better tanks than Russia. If only the game would be a NATO power fantasy not a Russia power fantasy the game would be much more balanced..

the M830a1 rounds are HEAT-VT fused shells doesn't say on the statcard anywhere, but if you lase a heli with it fuses to the ranging, might be useful, might not be

Even with the upgraded turret, I rarely enjoy the abrams due to the low survivability it has. The hull is paper, and the breech is the size of the moon. The gun is good, but it's neither special in it's performace or unique in shell availability.

Леопард в разы хуже , ещё и в приборы виденья в башне пробивают , так ещё и боеукладка в корпусе , если быть кратким он в разы уступает абрамсу в живучести. P.S. и да маска орудия у него ещё больше и она более слабо укреплена (все версии от 2A4 до 2PL ).

Just remember, in 1991, the M1 Abrams, with its 105mm gun, was able to destroy T72 tanks at 1km, by shooting through their frontal turret armor because they were hull down in prepared positions... According to WT, this doesn't matter and the M1A2 with its 120mm gun can't pen T72 frontal turret armor because... Well, it would hurt their feelings if they had to model things realistically and give up on their Russia/China fanboy bias.

You'd be surprised. From about br 9 onwards basically anything that isn't atgm has a laser sight that automatically adjusts the aim. Pair that with the grinding (so you're using the same laser range finder things for ages) and it atrophies pretty fast

@@JohnDoe-vm5rb I do not know, I use a laser rangefinder only at distances of 1 km or more, at distances up to 1 kilometer it is much easier and faster to take the lead myself. P.S. I only play on BR 8.7 and higher, so I wonder why people use a rangefinder at 400 meters, although you need to make a micro mouse lift to get to such a distance while you don't spend precious microseconds on the top of the BR where these microseconds can decide the outcome of the battle

You're wasting time freezing, I've already destroyed enemy tanks so many times, who drove out on me and began to measure the distance, losing precious milliseconds and in the end he lost. When I played on the Merkava where there is an exposure alert, then the enemy measured the distance at 100 meters there, and this is some kind of complete idiocy, how do you then play at low ranks, where there is no distance measurement?
