Thanks for stopping by Mike. There is a much simpler way to remove the whole assembly. Door panel out -> operate the switch up/down to get the window bolts -> remove glass -> remove entire black frame with regulator in one piece. Both ways get it done, but I sure hope you were able to get to it quick. I have removed the passenger side handle. I bet the driver one is even less fun.

Finished the entire job in a tick over two hours time. I did remove the glass first, by lining up the bolts with the holes in the door. Once that was out I removed panel with the regulator attached. At that point I was able see why the window was not working correctly. the cable that attached bottom front had somehow come loose. I unbolted the two forward most bolts (to and bottom) and routed the cable back onto place. Once that was done I started the bottom bolt and held the top in place while my wife threaded the top bolt back in. With that back together I then went ahead and changed the handle which I found to be surprisingly straight forward. I had been putting this off for months, I was pleased that it did not turn out to be the nightmare I envisioned.

Great! Congrats. I havw had to reroute the window motor cables and I know having a helper makes all the difference between cussing for an hour and getring bloody knuckles...versus an enjoyable evening.

They could probably use it. They are aluminum doors and allow a good amount of music and phone conversations to be heard from outside, but I've never thought about the sound padding. I have the ability, but it's just never bothered me enough to want to do it,

It sounds like your motor isnt getting power, I'd remove the door panel, access the motor connector and jump 12 volts to it to see ig it responds and rolls up. The system also has a circuit breaker that will disable the windows if you play with them excessively within a short amount of time

@@EdBwoy thank you sir, I've read that about the 12v jump off a portable battery jumper as well, what is the other reference? and how could I reset that? I've tried the battery method, unplug the battery terminal and try to reset that way, any other way to do so? Thanks again! I also noticed this vehicle has no circuitry in the radiator fan, seems to be hooked up to the power steering pump, if the fluid is low would that make the fan work slower/cause an overheating issue as well? Seems to spin at slow speed.

@@Slingersbullseye for the motor rhe plug has 3 or 4 wires. I can't remember the colors, but its just about touching the positive and negative to each of those terminals and the motor will move up in one combination then down in the other. If nothing moves at all, then the motor is dead.

EdBwoy Just becareful how you pull the door card out, the clips like to break. Had alot of those break on me but i bought alot of spares lol. Not much else tips and trick its simple and easy. Also quick question im planning on buying a 2012 M37x anything i should be concerned about with them?

The only platform-specific thing I'd tell you is to watch out for heat coming from all the vents. Some had heater core or blend door motor issues that made one side blow cold while you're trying to heat the whole car.
