Hey everybody!
So this is another pretty heavy topic but since I got a lot of lovely and positive feedback from y'all the last time I uploaded a video about this topic I decided to make another one - since this is also a topic that is really close to my heart!
Feel free to vent in the comments - that's what they're here for. But please don't be afraid to reach out if you're actively considering to kys. Please reach out to your family, friends, a specialist or whomever you might trust! No-one is ready to see you go yet!
Please show some love with those close to you and look out for friends who might be struggling at the moment!
Much Love,
Papercut

out of all the similar audios I've listened to, this concept was the most original, and it immediately interested me - but when i started to listen, i actually felt like Death was talking to me, and everything they said genuinely felt comforting, and helpful. thank you for this audio, I'll remember it for a long time

I like content like this, it's calming in a way. I've struggled with sh for a long time (just hit 6 months being clean 🎉), and often I feel like I can't talk about it with people I know care about me, as I struggle with not wanting to be a burden. I also have this mindset of "why tell them when they can't do anything about it, and it'll just upset them", even if they can offer support and a shoulder to lean on, it feels like sometimes I shouldn't put that weight on them. If that makes sense. I still rememver the first time I did sh (well, physical and visible), I had had to put my guinea pig down, and not even a week later my grandpa passed away. I'd been living with him until I found my own place (and had been reluctant to move and leave him alone), so I felt a lot of guilt, and I just snapped. Didn't know how to deal and just needed an outlet. Kept it hidden for 2 and a half month, before I went to far and had to ask for help (nothing life threatening, just a little to deep that might have needed a stitch or two, I was out of bandages and compresses, which is the only reason people found out). I have gotten better, but it is still a struggle. While I have a "as needed" medication for it, as it's mostly anxiety induced (sometimes stress), I don't often want to take it unless I feel like I can't calm down on my own. But content like this, and other topics (be it a fantasy adventure or whatever) can really help, and has been a very big part of when I've managed to stay calm and come back.

Hey! Congratulations first of all - 6 months is a very big step! I'm proud of you! So sorry, all that happened to you - especially so close in time to the other! You know, I get that taking medicine can be hard because it not only takes away the horrible feelings, it can also take away the really great feelings too. So it's great to hear that you found other ways to compensate and I'm very happy that my videos help with that! Take care!!!🖤

I always like the concept, the quality and the realism of your content. I really like the fact that you are getting involved and creating content regarding important issues that anyone may have in their life, especially regarding suicidal thoughts. Unfortunately, many more people have them than we think. We walk down the street and pass people who hide their pain behind smiles that don't let us notice their burdens. Thank you very much for creating such emotional content and helping people who need it at the same time ^^

Thank you so much for your appreciation🖤 I guess topics like these are just a big no-no for a lot of creators - I think a lot of them just don’t wanna say the wrong things…but as someone who’s had to face thoughts like these I just wished I had more outlets to seek comfort from…I also would’ve liked seeing people be open and transparent about that. So that’s what I’m trying to do… Thank you for supporting me🖤

@@PapercutAudio Someone close to me knew a man who kept most of his problems to himself without talking much about them and when he did, nobody paid much attention to it. He chose to end things two years ago. She told me afterwards ''If only I had known. I could have tried to help him.'' I encourage anyone who is currently dealing with suicidal thoughts to go see and talk to someone about your burdens, to find comunities that can help you, or other options that may be helpful for you. You deserve to be helped, you're worth living a life you enjoy and to be happy, you are much more important than whatever it is you think you are, you are loved, and your problems can be handled. Again, a big thanks to you Papercut for creating this helpful and quality content. I'm looking forward to see your upcoming content! ^^

@@ASwissGuy thank you for that story! Sadly, that is reality. The stigmatization of suicidal thoughts makes the way of healing hard or even unapproachable for some! Phrases like „the cowards way out“ don’t make that better. I hope that one day these thoughts will be seen as what they truly are: a symptom for an illness that needs to and can be treated. They are not a personal flaw! Thank you again🖤 Btw: are you a writer by any chance? Your comments are really well rounded and beautifully written. If not, you def should be!
@ASwissGuy

@@PapercutAudio Exactly. Someone told me a couple years ago ''Those who decide to take their own lives are selfish. Some people die every day and those who are lucky enough to still have a life choose to go.'' And as you well said ''the stigmatization of suicidal thoughts makes the way of healing hard''. Some then prefer not to open up because of it, because of the fear not to be taken seriously, rejection and criticism. Thank god some people do produce some helpful content about it. I've seen many people say it has helped them a lot. I hope that these issues will be perceived by the overall population as an important thing that should be taken seriously and handled and not as ''1 life'' out of 8 billion. Well, I do take a lot of notes and I always loved writing but I'm not a writer, so to speak. I spend an enormous part of my time reading as well so I assume that helps me with it. I'm also a native French-speaker and I'm currently learning English so someone complimenting me about a text that I wrote in English flatters me! Thanks a lot! By the way, congratulations for the 6k subscribers, you deserve it ^^

@@ASwissGuy yeah, I agree with everything you’ve said. Suicide is just the last symptom… Depression is sadly one of the great epidemics of our time. Not that it wasn’t around before - it always has - but I feel like it’s reached its prime in our time. Well, a lot of readers make great writers - just saying! I‘m not a native speaker either so I really enjoy hearing and reading good English! So, keep it up! But I also love French would love to learn it one day!!
