After being in this industry for 18 years and running my own place for 11 years, it always sucks to get shit parts I feel your pain. But I do like watching someone that actually knows what they are doing, that’s few and far between. Keep up the good work guys. Support your local bike shop!

You’re not wrong. Lots of garbage people out there who think buying a shop and playing dress up makes them qualified. Asked a local shop to setup some new cartridges because I didn’t want to fuck shit up, ended up paying them to fuck shit up. Took em to a different shop and paid him to fuck em up worse. Turns out the first shop got the wrong tubes and didn’t really give a fuck. I read this thing called “instructions” and magically, they finally work. Currently rebuilding my 6 speed and I’ve never had more fun learning this shit. Decided I’d rather learn how to do it myself the right way instead of pay someone to half ass it. It would be cool if I could figure out how to not be poor and turn it into a career. Working on it

I have done literally tons of gold fork tubes and every singlenone has leaked. Doesnt matter the brand of seal. The way u just described it just changed my life. Thank you. Idk why i jave never heard this before

I have only tried it on the pro one Gold tubes. I don’t know about other brands, so try at your own risk.

I ran the Brembo RCS19 on my FXLRS and was able to wire in a brake switch. Had to buy a switch that worked opposite to the one that came in the box but it works. Only did it so i can still get a MA inspection sticker.

cylinders are crosshatched to help retain oil to lubricate the rings so they slide in the cylinder all nicey nice. if cylinders were smooth the rings would wipe all the oil off the cylinder and end up seizing up in the cylinder from the friction building up heat.

I was at liquid steel show where larry had his accident. Owned a food truck at the time. I talked to him 20 mins before and unfortunately show the accident. Met him and billy at smoke out in 2002- or 2003. Both pretty cool dudes.

It’s not the forks seal kit they are dialed. The fork legs were Machine wrong.

You can’t just machine the id of the lowers. There’s also recesses in there for the clips and the bushings. I’m also not gonna clamp a chrome lower. These things are wrong all the way down I don’t got the machine for that.
