I try to answer a question about this rifle, where someone had problems with the magazine

If you break an extractor, good luck finding one. I've been looking for almost two years. If you break one, save the pieces and ask around for a person who is really good at welding. Luckily I have some great welders where I work and a guy was able to weld mine back together and it works perfectly. I broke mine with a headspace gauge. It slipped out of place as I was trying to chamber it and SNAP. Bummer... I've also read that you can convert an extractor off another type of rifle... I wanna say maybe a 1917 but just do some Google-FU and you'll find some forum posts about it. As far as the sheet metal magazine, mine has it in place so I don't know but apparently there is a way to convert the en bloc and make that work if you do it just right. You're gonna be better off buying another rifle vs waiting to find someone with a part they want to sell. There's a lot of people out there looking for extractors, and there simply weren't many extra parts for these. The extra parts came in years ago and are sold off and gone. You won't see a primary source for one, your only chance is a secondary source and even that is like a unicorn. M95 extractors for 8x56 aren't too hard to find . MG34 dot com has them in stock right now for 25 bucks. You could modify one to fit but the problem is because the 8x56 is rimmed, the claw on the extractor won't grip the 8mm Mauser case. If you find a good welder, he could possibly build that area up and you could shape it back. The problem you'll get into there is having to attempt to heat treat it because it's going to need to be very hard and strong to hold up for very long. Good luck

M95m is kingom of yugoslavia conversion not austrian one. It was done from captured austrian and hungarian rifles. Extractors break because you are suposed to feed from mag well so the bullet bottom slides under extractor not one by one single shot. There was somewhat similar bulgarian conversion as well.

The piece of sheet metal clip can be removed/replaced if you remove the plate. It slides in and out of the plate, but once the plate is secured to the barrel it locks itself in.

I just found one of these rifles at my local shop, it is missing the sheet metal insert as well. If you've managed to get an enbloc clip to work, I'd love to see how you did it.

When doing your close-ups, trying to show detail consider a medium gray background poster or matt board or shop towel.It will improve your images greatly. Just trying to help.

Went to shot mine the other day got the clip in and I couldn't even chamber a round. I had to take it apart to get the clip out

Is the bore still .329 on 8 mauser conversion rifle? I have a standard 8x56r that I use 7.62x54 case with 323 projectiles hand loaded with paper patched ammo when regular is not available

No, they put 8mm Mauser barrels on them (M24 barrels)

I accidentally closed my bolt in after I took out the bolt. how do I open it when it's out of the rifle?
@TheKoba498 жыл бұрын
what you have to do is hold the bolt body, pull on the bolt head and rotate it until it is in the open position,

Bulgaria never was part of the Austrian Empire. Just got one M95M for less then 200$.Seller list it as 8x56R ,probably this is why i get it so cheap.

You got lucky
@taylorphillips52035 жыл бұрын
you got really lucky on the price; the M95Ms are worth about twice as much since there werent all that many conversions done in the Interwars period.

Can you fire by loading five rounds in the magazine by hand?
@LtKeller112503 жыл бұрын
That’s what I do with mine
@christianschlogl62953 жыл бұрын
you can, but it is not recommended. neither is loading a round directly into the camber

Эстрактор этой винтовки м95м -это слабое место, как и пачка для патронов 7.92х57.И то и другое в домашних условиях не изготовить,а если и изготовить то работать не будет.Нужно только заводского изготовления, реально только из донора.
