You could also discuss the case when value of x is (say) between -3 to 1 . You are taking only non negative interval

Gharamani - I think the book may be a new edition - I think it was 2nd or 3rd edition - it had a blue cover with a car and a lightening bolt. I forgot about these videos and didn't realize that people were still watching them. I don't teach probability anymore because I switched to another department and mostly do applied stats now.
