+Day Knight Interesting contribution! Only 3 skills? I think there are rather thousands of skills one can discover and chose from to master! The usefulness of one's life can never be assessed by another human being. What you see as a wasted life can indeed be a beautiful divine lesson you are just not able to appreciate. My beloved, everything in this multiverse is purposeful from where I stand. No one is above anyone no matter their path, amount of knowledge the Teacher's life is never more important than the student's for they will be no teacher without them. Knowing yourself does not requires anything skills, rather just the willingness to know. Once that is there, tools, teachers etc will show up to assist.

Makeda Wisdom your right knowing your self isn't a skill it's already there but due to time and man's intervening to make us forget due to wrong knowledge and other distractions such as ego we forgot. All the other skills have there origin in the 3 that I mentioned. We are taught how to treat others, we observe and we apply. And as far as usefulness that has nothing to do with skills. Yes all life is sacred and that is not based on these set of skills but they are taught by using these tools. As a child if you are not taught how to treat people then we will not learn them. All souls are from the divine and tools or skills are not needed for it to be so but the skills are needed to in order for anyone to recognize the importance of all souls. You don't need skills to be yourself that's a given and then society tries to make you imitate it be it by music industry or sports and even peer pressure as well as from parents. I never implied that to know who you are that skills are needed no one can teach you who you are but they can make you realize that the questions of life is what's going to get you closer to knowing and as well as actually going within by way of meditation, detachment and appreciation of being you and nobody else. All skills that you speak of starts with knowledge, the question of it benefits you as a whole and also of whether you can apply it in your life. Not all knowledge makes you a better person and neither can all knowledge be applied, but the knowledge that can build your character and be applied is the best of skills. Knowing or coming to know yourself can not be taught by any masters for that journey is left for you and you alone to learn on your own otherwise we risk influencing without them knowing for themselves. You can say that the soul is God but that's as far as that goes and it doesn't assure me of me knowing me. It's not enough because I have to find out for myself of this very fact. No man or god is capable of showing the true you nor are they able to come close to making you recognize your true self. The only thing that man and gods can do is speak words of wisdom but ultimately it is left up to ourselves to delve within to come to that experience and understanding. Knowledge speaks but it does not assure anything. Know thyself is not a task any man or God can do for you. Knowledge of self is an inner journey. The masters can speak all day but if it is not resonating with you all that talk is useless.
