As a human, I felt like there is a huge reliance on veil procs, wings of eclipse, and mana shield toggling to survive this fight, since I was using light armor / base protection of 81. Perhaps Bulwark or Imperial Knight Armor will make it safer, but it's difficult to fit that in as a human :( A ton of effort also needs to be put in to dodging attacks and knowing when to greed smash + bash with the huge animation lock. Made a lot of mistakes because I am learning how to play close combat, so it should get easier. A similarly geared giant that can get twice the protection and shield reduction could probably pull this off twice as fast by just trading blows for DPS uptime :)

There's always Saint Guardian's Full Armor with 25 protection. That with S50 2h sword, avatar of balance title, holy flame protection on everything, and a doll bag combo that gets +5 protection - can get you a total of 140-145 protection (depending if you have Honest/Saving enchants) without messing around with reforges. I've heard that Imperial Knight Armor can actually work against you in some places like Tech Duinn with the set reforges it has. Plus the attack speed from Saint is nice. So if you are on a budget and prefer protection, go Saint. If you got all the gold and money in the world and that's no problem go Bulwark especially if you don't mind reforge and enchant hell. lol. Personally I'm keeping my Saint armor and I'm going to replace my boots/gloves/head with skirmisher pieces, which will increase my protection and attack further while netting me piercing resistance. With scythe talent coming out in KR and then eventually here, EK's are going to be set. Either way I think you did really awesome in there regardless.

That’s a cool setup, thanks for sharing! Because there’s so many combinations for EK it’s interesting to see what others have. Personally I found the damage amplification from imperial gloves and support shot the most important so it only left me with a hat and armor slot :( From my theta solos I’ve found that if the fight drags on any longer than 6 minutes it becomes far more difficult to pull off a clear which is why I try to get all the damage I can, which the imperial knight armor conveniently provides. I was also skeptical of the Unshakable Will effect when it first came out, but after using it for a long time I’ve concluded that anyone (including myself in the past) who says the armor can work against you is misled, because any decent player will make some effort to dodge attacks and not just stand in a spot to die :D

Hello Roa! very nice EK gameplay, do you think it's worth to invest in a fighter set to compliment the EK rotation anymore?

Most players can just put uppercut debuff reforges on their fighter set and find it perfectly fine. Fighter sets probably still have a place when minmaxing though. Knuckle damage will be buffed with the Rage Impact update in the future, and using knuckles more often will increase the chances the Knuckle ego skill Lucky Strike activates (10 additional prot debuff), which in theory would increase your overall EK and knuckle dps.

Hmm correct me if Im wrong but doesn't rage impact disappear if you use any attack on it? Like for example if you rage impact and a party members thunderblight hits it then the rage impact debuff goes away but it doesnt give the melee dmg bonus, that's what I was told. Im wondering because you use support shot after rage impact~

It got changed with the update that dropped the same day this vid was posted to act more like support shot does now. This means the bonus damage is less, but it affects all melee damage for a few seconds.

There’s been a few Rage Impact changes recently, some which we haven’t gotten yet. 1. When DD/AS were released, it was changed to only be overwritten by melee attacks, so ranged attacks wouldn’t cancel it. 2. Rage Impact is changed to a lasting debuff on the enemy (like support shot) and has its aoe increased. We don’t have this yet since this was added in the EK buff update recently in KR. Unchanged by any of these however is that Rage Impact has always taken a split second to apply, so Support Shotting immediately after does not get rid of Rage Impact’s one time buff.

wait there is a new dungeon? I didnt know there was a theta, granted i didnt progress farther in appoc cuz i didnt wanna bother with farming trash that gives no exp for a specific drop to turn into an NPC to advance the story.

Yes, Theta has been out for a couple of years I believe, you need to be 30k total level as well.

@@user-bz2us9qy1n 외국 키트에서 나온 환코 한팟 발동 모자, 신발이 있긴 한데 회복 속도랑 스탯 감소만 증가해서 카메라 시점 때문에 커 보이는 거 같네요. 마기그래프도 다른 점이 없습니다! 던전 보상으로 루인 무기 인챈트 얻을 수 있어서 아직 한국에 안 나온 거 같아요 :(
