Love this channel so much, im 35yrs old and im not sure on these 2 fellas days breathing on earth, but they seem like theyre from my same era or close enough to; and therein lay why i love the channel so much. I tried my best to stay LOCKED into hiphop, but even I fell away from the mainstream back in 2015-2018ish and then I dove back in around the time Juice WRLD dropped All girls are the same and Lil Skies and Landon were doing the Nowadays and Roses songs. My distaim for people like Lil Pump and them turned into discovery of Juice and XXX and Skies and Cordae etc...a beautiful thing. Point being, hearing these brothers discover artists that ive had in my lexicon of rappers for a minute now , its just pure bliss. Not that Mabu or bluface fit that criteria lol but the Chrisean Rock and Bluface drama does lol wild. Its more Yelawolf and Cadkey and people like that that these 2 discover that get me giddy and hype! Keep doing y'all thing!

I used to think this way about music (especially hip-hop) but really there's a place for everything. I like all the artists you named especially Aesop who's been a mainstay in my listening for 10+ years now since I first found him. However I also vibe with this song and a lot of other rap which is a lot less lyrical (E.G I love Future's latest album, I bump Cardi B at parties a lot etc). There's contexts for music, Aesop is a lyrical genius but you can't exactly just throw him on a party or in the car with people (I've tried). It can be frustrating hearing things which likely took a lot less effort than the most average Aes or Wu track to write get massively popular whilst some of the best authors in the game remain underground but a lot of that is due to marketing too and how quickly things go viral nowadays. Not saying the average hip-hop listener shouldn't check out some of the gems on your list cause it is indeed filled with top tier hip hop worth checking out, but also the people that enjoy this track and similar aren't necessarily stupid and you certainly aren't going to catch a music taste sickness. There's room for both in the world, that's what makes music (and any form of art interesting), in an ideal world maybe the popularity and exposure could be a bit more balanced so artists pouring their heart and soul into every track get more recognition, but that doesn't mean both can't exist and be enjoyed, by the same person even.
