Loved it. The way Mac looks at her when he said “hiding your emotions and letting them pass. Did them go away?” OMG it killed me

What I love about Mac and Riley is not their brains. Their intrinsic connection is what I love. It started from the first episode when he took her hands...Yeah I rewatched it and at the end when she picked up the Phoenix necklace. She said thank you...It felt like she was home. She belonged. I guess this is chemistry. How lucky the production team was to get these two. Its so rare to see it ...but always recognizable. Mac is great with anyone. Riley is great with anyone because their hearts are so big. But ...Mac and Riley hearts were intertwined even before they knew it. Whichever way they go...I'll respect their decision. Mac and Riley were so brave not to hide from it anymore.

Murdoc, as usual, was fantastic. I really love how no matter what happens he's always living inside his own world, and I also love his talent of getting into peoples heads. He knew exactly when to hit, where to hit and who to hit. Andrews, well, he was there. Giving some lectures on life, organising the operation and holding the reins of Murdoc, but the man who previously fearlessly walked amidst the bullets was nowhere to be seen. All cards are now out in the open or rather, it's more like Riley's cards are now out in the open. While I'll admit that I wasn't expecting for such a forceful reveal, I can't exactly say I mind it that much, because it feels like something like that was necessary. I pretty much knew this was going to happen ever since I learned that Murdoc would make an appearance, but it was still a tad bigger than what I had imagined. I was seeing Riley's face when Murdoc replayed the message, and you can clearly see the shame and the guilt overwhelming her. She had finally managed to move on, only for her feelings to be revealed to the ones she was trying to hide them from. All she wanted was for Mac to be happy have a relationship he deserves and she must've been very upset that this happened on the very same day Mac decided to propose to Desi. Everything she has done so far regarding her relationship with Mac had only his best interests in mind, but I must say that she made a very bad choice regarding that matter. Mac's behaviour during this entire episode was very telling, if I'm being honest here. His proposal to Desi felt so very wrong, and his reasons for doing so were so messed up. It clearly showed how big Mac's fear of losing whatever relationship he has with Desi is, that he desperately needed something to set his mind at ease. All this back and forth with her was way more hurtful to him than he would like to admit, and I feel like the ring wasn't as much pf a proposal as it was a way for him to feel more safe in their relationship(which is a very bad sign). He handled the whole situation suprisngly well, even all that physical beating he received afterwards. While I'm sure that his mind was racing, trying to proccess the developements, the fact that he had set his priorities straight was very much like him. He didn't try to push Riley to share anything more than she felt comfortable to and gave her the space she needed. He also gave her the hug that she needed, reassuring her that the fears she had that the revelation of her feelings would create a crack in their relationship was nothing but her own fear. She was always there for him, and he has always been there for her. Their relationship is deeper than what both of them imagine, and it's very beautiful to see. I can say, without a shred of doubt, that I feel very proud for the devopment Desi showed in this episode(for some reason). First of all, she could've handled the revelation of Riley's feeling a bit better, but it was way better than I coul've imagined, and her reaction was reasonable. She also managed to set the priorities of their mission straight and was actually the one that got them moving, so bonus points to her. While it was obvious that she was hurt, or maybe just jealous, when she saw Mac and Riley hugging, it was very mature of her to not get between them and left them talk things out. She showed signs of maturity I don't even know where they came from when she confronted Mac and the only thing she said was that he should do whatever feels right to him, because that freedom to think was exactly what he needed. Let's face it, Desi can't offer Mac what he needs, and I have a sneaky suspicion that she knows that. Mac needs something stable to be able to hold on to, but Desi's desire to not put a name on whatever they had only shows that she was never fully committed to their relationship, and that's something that only caused insecurities to Mac. I'm really, really glad that Desi wasn't given some big secret as well that could shake her relationship with Mac. That would basically be a get-out-of-jail-free-card, something I would really hate to see. They both deserve to put an end to this relationship not because of some external factor, but because they made the decision to do so on their own terms. It also made the final scene and Desi's words more impactful. I think the final scene was masterfully written. I know that many would disagree with me, but I feel like it was perfect. Mac was thinking of how to make the proposal to Desi, because that was what he had planned, and he couldn't just deviate from it. Remembering her words, however, gave him enough push to confront Riley. I'm 100% sure that he also has feeling for Riley that he may have hidden, even from himself. Personally, I see his question to Riley being something more than simply wanting to know whether she had gotten over her feelings for him. Yes, it was his way of confirming if there was still a spark, a chance for them, but it was worded in such a way that he didn't reveal his feelings, at least not directly. I'm not sure he even knows what he wants to hear from Riley, but I believe that it's more of a confirmation that something can indeed happen. By this point, he's incredibly scared of losing those he holds dear to him, and he doesn't want to take any risks. Even as he was comforting Riley, you can clearly see that he himself wasn't entirely fine, like something was bugging him. He can't afford to let someone get closer to him, if that could lead to him losing them. Riley's heistation was very realistic as well. As she realizes what he was asking, she also had to know that what she was going to say could change everything, and shes still afraid of losing him. P.S. The song choice should be from the ending of the episode, and it's so fitting that I don't have words to describe it. Great video as always, and it's good to have you back. This was a wonderful video and fantastic episode. I couldn't watch it when Riley's feelings were being exposed by Murdock. I felt all the embarrassment and vulerability. Well, now that it is out and I can't wait to see episode 11. I don't think he had a clue about Riley's feelings for him. Mac is not going to get any sleep. Every mission Mac will try not to stare at Riley while trying to appease Desi. The fact that he went to Riley's place at the end of the episode says it all.

Here I am a little over a year later still wishing and hoping for the chance to get this show back… knowing how well developed these characters are and how the actors and show runners put their everything into the performances of bringing their characters and this whole show to life just makes it a lot more painful than just losing a show. It means so much to us Macgyver fans and I wish there was a way to bring it all back. S5 was definitely not a proper ending for a show that’s been going for half a decade with all of these storylines still not completed… I really hope we at least get the show back #SaveMacgyver

One of my favorite edits of Mac and Riley! I think this was very well though out, I loved the transitions, I loved the choice of certain scenes that I haven't seen in other edits, and certain scenes in slow motion, and overlaying certain dialogues on selected scenes, sooo good, wish there was another season!! Lucas and Tristin have undeniable and very realistic on screen chemistry.
