What's ironic is these artists will make 1 social impact song for every one of their 30 gangsta songs. Basically they started a big ass fire and then pour a tablespoon of water to try to put it out 😕

@AQUAPHREESH193
@AQUAPHREESH193 Жыл бұрын
@@SixTenVisuals You’re speaking real facts!! I’ve actually pondered this a lot. Mac Mall and plenty of other GREAT emcees are guilty of this, especially in the 90s. I guess it’s a noble effort nonetheless. Maybe they felt their bread and butter was spitting gangsta shit, so the positive songs couldn’t outnumber the gangsta ones 😂🤷🏾‍♂️ Although to be fair, I feel that it’s ultimately on the listener to discern right from wrong and utilize common sense. Arnold Schwarzenegger shot up a whole police precinct in T1, but he’s viewed as just an actor right? Why is it so hard for people to apply the same reasoning to gangsta rap? It’s different when inner city violence is in the mix, but look at 80s rap, especially LA rap during 80s. While Dr. Dre was doing his World Class Wreckin Cru shit, the crack era was ON and gangbangin was in full effect. So I don’t think the music is always to blame, but I definitely feel your point overall.

Man the early to mid 90s what a time. I graduated in 1994 and the rap game was crazy loaded with originality from region to region and no one sounding alike. Nas, OutKast, Wu, Digable Planets, Getto Boys, MC Eiht, Dre and Snoop, Cube, 2 Live Crew, 2Pac, E-40 to name a few were on the radio and just getting started.

Illegal Business was a classic album too. Khayree’s production was sick. This song would end and then you’d hear “Pimp Shit” and the beat starts....great era for rap.

Dude its crazy watching this in 2020 knowing all about who 2Pac was with hits like "Keep Ya Head Up", "Changes" "Dear Mama" its crazy to think like people living now cannot even fathom how next level he was and even after all those timeless classics he made we have a music video like this that is so pure and so "home made" looking it makes me realize more than ever especially with me being a film maker how important and real this video is.... Its 2Pac at the top of his game in his prime doing whatever he wanted to do and yet with all that fame and power he chose to help his friends out and do this video, that is a part of 2pac I always loved, you hear stories about him going around even after he was the most famous person in the world still going to house parties in the hood like it was crazy how real the guy was, when you how big he was its crazy to think he would do shit like this (the video here im talking about) that shows how real he was
