Ima 53 year old black man and Jordan is my goat, this guy right here is top 2 all time dunk contest participant and I wouldn’t be mad if he was #1. The stuff this guy has pulled off the last 2 years in the contest is something I haven’t seen before at his height and consistently clean dunks and rarely misses first time.

The whole point of the dunk contest is to dunk good, and giving free attempts ruin the contest because that ruins the point of the competition. If you fail, you get points off, that just makes sense

Because their names aren't as known, they are less likely to receive hate. JB only missed one dunk the whole time. And every dunk was done with power. Not creative but that's not who he is. I've been saying it for a long time and I'll say it again: DUNK CONTEST IS DEAD. People going nuts about a "star" being in the contest and Mac is the best dunker ever when they're both in-game type dunkers. Mac at least made decent ones last year but he already used up all his creativity as a smaller guy. All he does is jump over people. Dunk contests nowadays are all about jumping over people for the last 10 years. Jaylen Brown also failed miserably. Stars don't mean good dunkers. Just like Ja, Zion and even LeBron. They may be able to do some type of trick dunks but it's nothing we haven't seen before. They're all in-game type dunkers where they put on a show during games, not contests. The dunk contest may be fun again once in a while like 2016 and 2020, but overall it's all the same boring lame dunks. DUNK CONTEST IS DEAD.
