Just found out I have a tumor in my chest yesterday and bumping mac is the only thing keeping me calm and sane. Rip Mac. Update: I found out it is cancer, but very curable. Thank you all for your kind words! 2nd Update: I finished the treatment and I am just waiting to get a PET scan to see if it's completely gone. 3rd update: Cancer free! Thank you all for the support and prayers! You guys really made me feel better in dark times! 4th update(Oct. 22): Cancer is back, starting a study treatment next week to see if it helps me. 5th update(July 20, 2021): Last treatment did not work unfortunatley but I am about to start a new treatment next week. It's been a tough year and a half, just hoping for life to go back to normal after this treatment. Ive read all the comments, I appreciate every single one of you!

So sorry. If it makes you feel better, we're all just animals on this rock in the vast universe and our lifetimes are a tiny blip of time that doesn't even register on the universes scale, all our short monkey lives are coming to an end same as cats, dogs, ants. My daughter was born this morning and I am sitting in the hospital listening to this while she sleeps thinking how sad it is and bittersweet different walks of life can be. Mac taught, and made a big difference for so many and started as a young bundle of joy as my daughter now has. The world loses a angel and another is born for somebody else. ❤️ it’s been a solid 10 years Mac. Rest with all of our love reaching you up in heaven. I hope your family can appreciate your legacy as much as we all have and understand the impact you have had. Edit: Thank you guys for the congrats! It really is a blessing being apart of a family that comes together out of the beauty of Mac’s art. ❤️ I hope you guys feel that first rush while listening to circles, you felt when hearing Mac for the first time.

2 years ago I was travelling alone in australia. I rented a car and drove many hours from the east coast to melbourne. I remember listening to this song while the sun was setting. It was a beautiful sunset. I saw the sun set in front of me at the "end" of the street. At the very last second of the song, the sun set behind the horizon. It felt so sad, like a goodbye, yet so special. I remember getting the news 4 years ago that Mac has died. It felt like losing a friend. His music was such a big part of my youth. And there was something about him that felt so familiar, so kind, so real. I'm 26 now. And I still come back to his songs from time to time. I think what a lot of us feel - especially the ones who grew up with Mac's Music - our youth was wild and fun, yet growing up was so hard and sad. We always felt connected to him and his path. Because in some way, we saw ourselves in him. In the good times and in the bad times. With his work and art Mac was able to touch our hearts, like no other did. I will forever appreciate you, Mac. And I will forever miss you. The world would definitely be a better place with you in it. May you rest in peace ❤️ PS: To everyone's struggling - stay strong. I send all my love to you. We will all get through this, together ❤️

I knew he was a skilled rapper but Didn't connect until after his death either. Then I started hearing songs like good news, 2009, and a few others and realized he had a much deeper side. Love this song and many others, they hit in a different way .

I went through every song on the album and for some reason saved this song for last. It just felt right, I'm unsure. Although there were several others, I felt like it was the perfect song to have my closure to your passing. From Kool-Aid and Frozen Pizza to Circles, I had an immense respect for you as an artist. You, and a small handful of artists make me remember that music really is magic. It's transcendent really, and you had a way of just speaking from the heart that made me more than a fan. You've been an enormous inspiration for me in my life and what was the hardest thing for me to get over wasn't that you passed, It was that I won't be able to hear anything new that you create. You've meant more to me than I'd ever thought, R.I.P. Mac

JiveTurkey this album for me needs to marinate a bit. Only on my 3rd listen. I’ll have a much better understanding of all in about a month. Some albums can be reckoned in 3 listens. Others need months or even years. Well at least for me. I was hoping this was the direction he’d take his production. I’m definitely not complaining. I can hear how the executive producer finished the album. It’s not off putting. Though I recognize the synth signature of Miller. Now release MACLIB!!

Exactly two years ago i was visiting California for the first time in my life. I remember going on the driveway with my family, we were passing through some mountains, it was a sunny day but it was cold, the sky was blue but still got some beautiful clouds. I was so excited of this album coming out, sadly i discovered macs music after he died but i fell in love with it the first moment i listened. As you know, the time gap between his death and the release of this album is not that big, and still I never felt a more profound connection with an artist in my short and insignificant life. I felt that he was there, putting into words what i felt. I remember i kept thinking “he was here, the same land that I’m in”. It was a magical moment, someway, that i will never forget. Ironically, it made me feel alive after a really long time. Anyways, Mac has been there for me like nobody has. As ridiculous as it sounds, it is true. Hope he is resting in peace, he will be forever missed. I’m so grateful to him🤍 Happy birthday, Circles.

Well I’ve heard that he has many more unreleased Albums in the vault but it’s highly unlikely that they will be released due to him not being able to go back to them since this was the last near complete production he had. He’s the point, yes although he has more music to be released, since he’s gone, closing the book on this chapter is what’s best, it’s the resolve for swimming so that’s more then enough. Trying to release more of his music would not be good because it’ll be starting a new chapter that’s he’s not able to finish himself.

Anyone who’s been to rehab 3, 4, 5 or more times and now have the ability to reflect, this song is an example of what it was like to hit rock bottom and then sink even deeper. “I cannot be changed though, trust me I’ve tried.
