Mac’s music is really nostalgic to me. He is the guy I was growing up with, I’m the same generation so his music was evolving just at the right pace for me to love his music and follow his career for years. On the other hand he was someone who helped me deeply connect with my ex girlfriend. She was a really important person in my life. Somehow they both were. Never met you Mac, but I sure do miss you a lot.

Thanks for all of it. I finally grieved this year, it took so long for me to process and just be okay with him being gone. Now I can finally listen to his music again without crying, it still hurts. But it still feels like hes here. Hes here in spirit. Remember that everyone. I love you Mac. Keep Swimming in Peace.

So hard to explain how I feel about Mac. The way he always reinvented himself is unique. Each album was different from the last and was a step forward in his musical journey. It guts me to think how much potential he had and what he would have become as an artist had he still been with us. I think he’s one of the most important artists of our generation and is right up there beside artists like Price, Hendrix & Stevie Wonder.
